Car description

As to myself, I am a (67) year old kid that loves muscle cars. For my work, I am retired from managing a Correctional Facility here in Maine and had worked for the Maine Department of Corrections for (40) years. I am also a respected member of my community. I mention this only because of the value of this car and so that prospective buyers will have some idea as to who they are dealing with. Also, please check out my eBay feedback that is at 100% with (1,179) transactions. Many of my transactions have been muscle cars, which I have sold to individuals all over the country as well as Canada, England, France, Switzerland, Germany, Australia and the Netherlands. My reputation for honesty is well known amongst muscle car lovers.

This 1969 Oldsmobile 442 W30 is considered one of the rarest low mileage collectible muscle cars offered for sale. This ultra-rare W30 was purchased from BereJik Motors in Needham Mass on March 21st 1969. Copies of the original documents show that BereJik Motors, one of the leading performance Oldsmobile dealers, did some performance upgrades back when the car was purchased new by the original owner. This special order car comes with its numbers matching 400ci engine which was rebuilt during the frame off restoration in 2007 to 2008. There are photos available of the cars restoration process. The car was ordered with an M-21 close ratio Muncie 4 speed transmission and G80 posi traction axle with a 4.33:1 gear ratio. Currently however, the car has a 3.73:1 axle ratio to make the car much more street able.

The W30 Ram air options totaling $263.30 in 1969 are:

· Super stock 1 wheels;

· Wide oval raised white letter Bias Ply tires;

· HD radiator;

· Deluxe push button AM radio;

The car has a rock solid original body with original sheet metal. The car was stripped down to bare metal during the restoration and refinished back to its original factory color of Burgundy Mist. The door jambs as well as the hood, fender and trunk jambs are refinished with two stage base coat clear coat paint system and has the same high gloss finish as the cars exterior. Beautiful chrome bumpers, original bright work and stainless that has been polished to a high luster. The wheels have been updated to super stock with raised white letter radial tires. The tinted windshield was replaced but all the other glass is original, along with the radio antenna. The car has amazing paint with no scratches, dings or dents in the cars laser straight body. The locking hood pins were installed in the early 70's and come with the original keys. The frame, floors and trunk pans are extremely solid and are refinished in black gloss restoration paint. There are no signs of any rust or repairs anywhere on the car.

The following are still original:

· Parchment interior;

· Strato bucket seats;

· Seat covers;

· Instrument cluster.

**Only the carpet and rear package tray were replaced.

This car is one of only 1,097 W30 2 door hardtop's produced back in 1969 and has extra low mileage indicated a little over 6,000 miles since new. As this W30 was purchased for racing, it is felt that these miles were accumulated prior to the restoration during the car's racing days.

This is a solid investment W-30, rare special performance ordered unit, with owner history and documentation at a fair price. Must be seen to be appreciated.
