Car description

For sale is my 1901 Oldsmobile Curved Dash Replica.. Im 90% sure this was made by a Company called Air Products in Ft Lauderdale Florida between1958-1961.There was another company called Merry Olds who built similar cars in the same years. This is a historic piece of crafstmanship in its own right. Somewhere in the early 80's it was converted to a Fire Chiefs Car. It is out fitted with gold leaf and red paint. There is a length a fire hose with a Wooster Brass fire nossle. The Fire extinguisher on the deck lid was converted to the gas tank. It holds appx 5 gallons of gasoline making this the ideal parade Car, as the car can run for hours before fill up. Ive seen other novelty cars stopping mid parade route to fill with more gas.
The tires are good the spare tire tube is flat but tire itself is ok. The battery is great holds charge for a long time, great for parades while running headlights and starting the OLDS. She has a battery powered starter, headlights, 2 speed forward transmission for slow drives or a bit more brisk 35mph (not for me). The top is great with no tears or rips. It folds down to be a convertible for open air drivin, but it looks better with it up in my opinion.
This comes from a private collection. It was registered in NY back in the 60's. There was a state issued registration sticker still in back but you will have to handle this with DMV for future registratio, as there is no current registration available.
I have many more pictures available that I can send. I have been driving it up and down my street all week. The kids are cheering and getting many many thumbs up from the oldercrowd. I may be able to send video but we will have to figure that out. The only flaw is a clamp on the pass side leaf spring has a crack (thats it).
The Olds weighs appx 600 lbs if top is folded it should fit in a 5x8 closed trailer but I would go for the 6x12. I will not ship this as delivery is up to you. I can help load it but I am not responsible for that.
Good luck and happy motoring. This is a no reserve AuctionDon't let this one get away.
