Car description

You're bidding on a real 'barn find': a 1956 Oldsmobile Holiday 98 2-door hardtop. It is in very good candidate for a restoration. She features the 324 c.i. 'Rocket V8' engine with Hydramatic automatic, ower Steering, ower Brakes, ower Windows and Power Seat and a padded dash. I just found the car and was assured that it ran, ut I haven't heard it yet. It needs a new gas tank and battery before it can be started. The motor looks solid and clean after sitting up for several years. It was originally painted pale green and white, ut many years ago someone changed the color to two-tone green. The car is complete; most of the interior parts are in the trunk. The driver's front and rear passenger floor pans will have to be replaced. The trunk pan is solid except for one area close to the driver's side wheel well and a small strip along the rear section of the trunk by the splash pan. It also has small areas that have rusted through on the rear portion of the front fenders and small area on the front section of the rear quarters (the usual places). It has the rear exhaust deflectors still on it. There are many extra parts that are in the trunk and the parts look to be in good shape, o a restoration project will be rather easy. The chrome is in good shape with surface rust, ut will have to be re-chromed if you intend on making it a show car. The windshield and back glass are tinted and are in good shape with only a minor crack on the driver's side window. The tires are recent with good tread and it will roll easily. The interior is white leather with green cloth inserts (factory). The driver's side front seat is rotted away and will need re-padding, owever, he seat cores are in very good shape. Please write with any questions or to set up a time to come look at it. Please read the notices below before bidding. Thank you.NOTICE: Alabama is a NON-TITLE state for pre-1975 model cars. You will be given a Bill of Sale and a makeshift title that should be honored by all other states.
