1957 Nash Metropolitan 2 door Convertible 1500

1957 Nash Metropolitan Convertible.The car has a 1500 series engine with a 3 speed manual transmission.This car came from California in the early 1980s. Thecar had no outside body rot prior to restoration. The body was blasted up to the first body line and no rot was found. The rest of the the body was stripped to bare metal. It had several dents and dings. The floor pan on the front passenger was replaced and the drivers side got to patch panels about 6''x12'' replaced. The wiring was all replaced with a negative ground system. The radio needs rebuilt to a negative ground. It doesn't work. The 1.5L engine was tore apart and rebuilt. the crankshaft was turned 10/10 with a new cam and lifters, oil pump, timing chain and tensioner, water pump, fuel pump, flywheel starter gear, clutch disc and throw out bearing, slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder, and a valve job done on the head. The brakes was repaired with new steel brake lines, hoses, rear brake shoes and cylinders, axle seals, pinion seal. The front brakes cylinders was rebuilt with new steel lines and hoses with a new master cylinder. All 4 shocks was replaced. All the body trim was polished. The car was repainted with base coat clear coat. A new windshield and gasket, new grill and surround mouldings. new grille medallion, new headlight rims, new tail light bezels and lens, new outside door handles, new door weather strips and door whiskers strips, new bumper guards with the front bumper being re-chromed. The Upholstery was redone with Hounds tooth fabric. The convertible top was replaced along with the weather strips. It has 5 new radial tires with less than 100 miles with the original hub caps that have small scratches and dings. The car is located in Waldron Arkansas.
