Car description

1979 MGB convertible. Nice example of a late MGB roadster that is a great driver. Recently refurbished. Looks great, lder orange paint has a nice gloss with a few panels that have been repainted. This is also an amazingly rust free car. There is no rust or rot to be found anywhere. New windshield and new windshield seals. Top is in good shape with one small tear. 1.8-liter engine runs great, oesn't overheat even in extended idling in New Mexico traffic, lectric fan conversion controlled by switch mounted in dash. Engine produces good power and feels very healthy. New thermostat, ousing gasket, nd valve cover gasket. Brakes work fine but pull a little to the right under hard braking, uspension is tight and well damped. Over all the car is very fun to drive. 4-speed transmission shifts properly through all gears and the clutch works well. Nice Miata seats, new carpet, new door panels, nd new shift boot and knob. Brand new Wesco retractable seat belts work great and add a little safety. Front of car has been lowered for better aesthetics and improved handling. Brake lights, urn signals, eadlights, ack up lights, ll gauges and all gauge lights function correctly.Known issues include non-working heater because of incorrect radiator hose. A previous owner used a radiator hose without the heater hose T that goes to heater core. Older tires that should probably be replaced for regular highway use. Minor dings on some panels and chrome side molding. Has a few cracks on the factory dash. The dash is covered with a new molded dash cover that looks great. The trunk has an older respray that is slightly darker than the rest of the car and has some cracking under the luggage rack. Turn signal switch is worn out, o it's sensitive to position and can leave lights on. This is not a problem as long as you make sure the headlights are off after the car is turned off. The car comes with a brand new turn signal switch that is ready to be installed. Tachometer is occasionally intermittent but works almost all of the time. Overall this is a very honest car that starts every time and is a great driver.Email with any questions. We will assist with shipping, ut buyer must pay for shipping.
