Car description

77 MGB. Paint is original, Theres some rust and patina. Paint shows some oxidation but will clean up and shine very nicely. Shown in photos is the worst of the rust which is on the rear quarters on both sides, some of it goes through. The rust is easily repairable, a lot of it is surface. Not perfect, but it still looks good and its just an old machine. Great candidate for complete restoration. I myself have replaced only the ignition coil. The fuel pump was replaced with a small electric one in the trunk and the exhaust was changed out all prior to me purchasing the vehicle. Smog stuff was completely removed. Interior door panel has wear and fabric is torn.
The vehicle does start and run, brakes do work but need some attention, nothing major. The carburetor is the Zenith-Stromberg and that has its well known issues. It will need to be rebuilt or replaced, which is what everyone does anyways. I did start gathering the parts for a dual carb conversion. I have the carbs and manifolds in a box. I started to rebuild the SU carbs myself and they needed new throttle shaft bushings, I never sent them out to Joe Curto in Queens, NY for a rebuild and they went back in a box.. Tires are good and have good tread on them, only about 3 years old.
The canvas and top frame are MISSING, purchased like this. It only has a cockpit cover. Radiator has a very very small pinhole. I do have a replacement new in box. Original spare and jack are in the trunk. I have the ORIGINAL title from when the original owner purchased the car brand new in March 1978 from Palotti & Poole in Wethersfield, CT
All questions answered honestly, I have nothing to hide with the car. No warranty obviously. Car is sold AS-IS.
The car can be driven short distances, but it should really be towed. It needs a tuneup. Ive been driving it around town on the backroads occasionally so I do not need to worry about slamming the brakes or having to drive it 85mph.
New radiator, top cover, manifolds, and carbs will be included in sale.
Will not ship the car. You are responsible for arranging a hauler or if you want to take the chance and drive off with it. I will allow some time for your arrangements when I receive payment in full. Cash in hand or Paypal gift accepted.
