Car description

Up for auction, is a 1976 MGB Convertible with a clean title. The car has been registered in Florida as an antique car. The car came off the assembly line in November of 1976. This 42 year old sports car runs fine. Accelarates, shifts and brakes great. The engine has 4 cylinders and the transmission is a 4 speed manual.

New parts include, electronic ignition, radiator, oil & filter, spark plugs & wires, new ignition lock and keys, Spain manufactured Weber Carburetor with new manifold for the weber carb to be bolted on, steering wheel, seat covers and foams, tires, heater valve, fuel pump, antenna, map pockets, dasboard cap, thermostat, waterneck, hoses, ground cable, fuse box, new visors, new glove box lock, battery, fuses, valve cover gasget, and vacuum hoses. The car has also one under the dash vanity panel (passenger side only). Spare tire (donut) and parts in the trunk are included. Lights and directionals work, horn is new but not wired as of yet. Dashboard lights all work. Oil and Temperature guage work fine. Highbeams/ Lowbeams work great. Windows go up and down. The seats are extremely comfortable.

Mileage is unknown because of the 5 digit odometer. When gas tank is full, the gas gauge reads half full. The clock does not work. The car is probably going need a respray at some point and some work to prepare it for paint as usual on a 40 plus year car. Some rust found under the sill on the drivers side and passenger sideand some surface spots, stone chips elsewhere. The tiny front spoiler under the rubber bumper has a dent. The rear rubber bumper has a small hole. The convertible top has a tear in the plastic side window part and a small tear in parts of the black leather that snaps the top down to one of the snaps. One of the chrome wheel rings has a small dent. The windshield motor runs slowly. A new dashboard fan switch is needed. The car does not have a stereo. A box of used parts will be included, including the two original head rests and 2 manuals.

Most of what needs to be done is just parts replacement. For example, top has two tears you can purchase a new top or restore the original. Dented wheel ring is easily replaced by purchasing a new one from Moss Motors, etc.

The car is extremely fun to drive. Thank you for viewing. Bank checks or casier's accepted only. Please allow time to clear.
