Car description

I am selling an awesome barn find. I got this car about 3yrs ago and fell in love with it. I have about 16k in receipts for the mechanical work been done to the car. If it needed it, it got it. basically every mechanical part has been touched and or replaced to ensure it to be a reliable driver. from rebuilding the carbs, shocks, radiator, brakes all, etc New wood floors, tires, discs, every pc of wiring has been replaced. all gauges work as they should. The motor has been checked with solid compression and any little parts that needed changed were done and the tranny. I have all the records and receipts to show what was done.

I see a lot of these cars for sale but you never know what mechanical condition they are in or what is behind the paint. I think this is the best of both worlds in that you know with proof all the mechanics have been done this decade and that you can choose to leave the paint alone or paint it your color.

The car was painted 40 plus years ago and was sitting in the barn for 38yrs. The front right brake line collapsed and the owner parked it and 3 kids later, life... it sat.

I decided not to repaint it. I have taken it to a couple of shows and everyone that sees it says it is too cool to repaint. The paint has a lot of little cracks and blemishes that make it unique. before taking it to the shows this year I did plan on repainting it, so I have new wire wheels, new bumpers, new carpet kit, new rubber mats to go with. I also have the original top that is unrestored.

The reason I am getting rid of it is that I do not like the way British cars drive. I can not get the hang of downshifting ( the mechanic told me to drive the gears.. too much effort) and I feel like I am driving a go cart.

I have included in the pics the fist pic I took when I found the car and some others as it is now.

feel free to ask me any questions.

this is a 59 year old car, this is an as is sell and buyer is responsible for all cost associated with shipping. It deserves the love and attention. With over 500hrs into it, I hope it is taken care of and driven. I welcome anyone to come look at it before it sells.

happy bidding
