Car description

This is my brothers 1969 MGB. My brother sent me the car to get her back on the road and while I've done a lot I just don't have the time so my brother has asked me to sell her. Very solid car and still retains its original twin 6 volt battery system. The car is selling this week to the highest bidder and is priced well below current market value. If you know vintage British cars and your looking for a pre 1970 solid chrome model MGB this is your chance. Make no mistake this car is selling to the highest bidder regardless of ending sale price.
Heritage:The carappears to be anumbers matching carandyou canorderaBritish Heritage Certificate from England or I can do it for you.The cars vin number is GHN 4 U 183713G, commission number is G23N 000151P, and the engine number is18GB-U-H-143220.
Mechanically:The car is not currently running at this time. In preparation to get her started I've completed a tune up with new ignition wires, spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor button, oil change, oil filter, new fuel pump & rear fuel line, radiator flushed / cleaned and new coolant added. What I believe is left is to install a oil pressure switch, hook up the front fuel line, attached a few wires and install new batteries. Once all that is done she should fire right up. After that you'll need to bleed the brakes / clutch peddles and top off the transmission & rear end fluids just to be safe. Note: The original twin carburetors and intake manifold are in the trunk and come with the car.
Gauges:All gauges are correct and original "Smith" brand.
Interior:The interior is in decent shape. Dash and gauges look very nice and she still has a British Leyland radio. Notice how nice the original Banjo steering wheel is.Exterior:The car is remarkably straight and very solid but does need some restoration mainly paint. Car still retains its original and highly sought afteraluminumfront hood. The hood was off the car when I got her and only has two of the 4 bolts holding it in place. This why the photos show it not fitting correctly so the new owner will need to fit in place.
Underbody:As you can see in the photos the underbody is very solid with noviablesigns of repair. The inner fender wells, inner sills, rocker panels and dog legs look great as well. A very solid car.Soft Top:Car comes with a stow away soft top frame but no canvas.Hard Top:Yes as seen in the photos the car comes with a hard top. Top needs the lower seals replaced and believeI do have them in a box along with some new and used parts that come with the car.Trunk:The trunk is rock solid and has a spare tire and wire wheel. Along with many other original items like the top cover support rails & original stowage bag, original tool stowage bag and several other misc. items like books and manuals. Note: The original twin carburetors and intake manifold are also in the trunk.
Shipping:If you need to have the car shipped to your location here in the states you can get a fast and free online quote from Able Auto Transport at: http://www.ableautotransport.com/Overseas Bidders:Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logisticsshipping for fast free quotes ( http://www.schumachercargo.com/ ).
I don't claim to be an expert and my opinion ofthe car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or extra photoslet me knowprior to bidding. No warranties / guarantees are expressed/ implied and is a project car. Due to the cars age she is being sold as mileage exempt and "as is"where is condition.
