1953 MG TD. NICE SOLID SURVIVOR CAR!!

Up for auction is this solid survivor 1953 MG TD. We recently acquired this car in package deal. That being said we are not classic MG experts! So bare with me as I have done a bit of interweb browsing trying to educate myself on this car. We deal in mostly American made muscle cars and hot rod's as well as classic American trucks. We acquired this car from a lady who had owned it for probably over 20yrs. She drove it on nice days with her dog on the back package area and stored it indoor's during the bad weather. She was the second owner of the car. Everything seems to be original minus from what a bit of research tells me is the common Volvo B-16 4cyl conversion. Still has what I believe to be the original 4sp transmission. The motor is completely rebuilt with very low miles . The car starts right up and idles great. Has plenty of power going down the road with no weird noises or smoke.The transmission shifts through all the gears smoothly. All of the lights and blinkers work as they should. The body is in great condition and all original metal. The trim is in good shape. The grill has some wrinkles but looks good for a driver. The paint is older and shows some small chips and scratchesbut shows well for a survivor car . "Patina" !! The car has no rust!! There some small surface rust spots showing on the side skirt area on the underside but nothing pitted our through! Very solid car!! The interior is all there and in good condition. No rip, tears or stains. The carpet is older but still intact. The top is in good shape as well with no cracks,tears or weathering. Has what I believe to be the original knock off wire wheels with matching spare. The tires are in decent shape as well.The car feels like a go-cart with 100hp!! lol! You can drive this car as is or do a full restoration. We feel that the car has more character as it sit, but that choice is up to the new owner. Car comes with original owners manual.
