Car description

Your Bidding on a 1972 MGB Roadster, Red in color, with a Black interior, Top, Boot, & Tonneau cover, all of the preceding items are in very nice, but used condition! The featured automobile is powered by a 1.8L inline 4 cylinder engine, and a 4-speed gear box, the overall condition of this little gem is above average, the interior is clean, the seats are in very nice shape as is the door panels, and carpet, there are no visible signs of water damage of any kind. OK so here's the story! my sister calls me to let me know that her neighbor has this car sitting in her garage! ( have you heard this one before? ) anyway do I want to look at because she is thinking about selling it!!! This Gal is late 30's the story is her father gave her this car when she went to college, upon completing her education she purchased, you guessed it a SUV, and the little car was put to rest, only driven 2 or 3 times per summer just to keep it in running shape, per her fathers request. So time marches on 5 or 6 years ago the battery went dead, the alternator quit!, so the car sat in the garage until now! She thought that it was time to let it go, before it became a lawn decoration, We were informed that the car had been a very dependable little car, and that it had been re-painted about 10-12 years earlier, the top was replaced 10 years ago, and the drivers seat recovered, they did a nice job! The paint is in very nice condition, and shines up great, all the bright work is very nice as well, all the lights work, and the engine starts and runs great, no smoke at all, except for a little puff when running thru the gears, between gear changes!!! So here's the list of pluses, 1972, so no ugly black safety bumpers, a 1.8L, inline, 4 cylinder engine with only 77xxx miles, 4-speed manual trans ( fun! ), newer convertible top & boot, tonneau cover, newer paint, new alternator, new battery, truck carpet set, spare tire cover, new spare tire, the tires on the car are in good shape!, the interior and carpet are in great shape, AM /FM Stereo radio, with rear box speakers, original jack, and lug wrenches in trunk wrapped in I believe factory tool pouch! Brakes were gone thru, new fluid, and re-built proportioning valve, cooling system drained, cleaned and fresh coolant installed, new plugs, carb was disassembled, cleaned and refurbished, new upper radiator hose, and has the Rostyle Rally wheels with trim rings and MG center caps. OK now for the minuses that I know of, the wind screen has a very small crack near the top of the frame, I assume caused by the stress of clamping the convertible top down, and I noticed what I believe to be a small rust hole in the upper inside, passenger side front fender, only noticeable when the bonnet is opened, how that got there is beyond me! ( see the last photo in the series ) Well thats it as far as I know, the rest of the car looks to be very sound and in good shape, never worked on British Auto's before, mostly GM, but this was fun. This little car has many more miles of fun and enjoyment left in it!!! So good luck bidding! Please note this car will be listed for sale locally, so may end auction early!
