Car description

For sale is a 1979 MGB roadster. This is an unfinished project started over 10 years ago, o convert this car to a V8. Included is a 215 cu in.(3500cc) Oldsmobile F. 85 aluminum V-8 with a reported 55K miles and a 1993 Camaro 5 speed transmission with reported 9K miles. Included is a MGBV8 conversion kit (motor mounts, GBV8 radiator, xhaust manifolds, il cooler adapters, il line thermostat, ell housing adapter plate, solators and hoses". New adjustable Spax rear shocks are installed, new uprated rear leaf springs, new uprated front lever shock absorbers, nd new brake lines. The front suspension has been rebuilt to MGBV8 specs. New king pins, isc brake rotors, -joints, nd sway bar bushings installed. New panhard rod welded in place on rear axle housing. Original MGB parts, xcept four-cylinder engine, re included. There is not a carburetor for the V8. I did not begin this conversion, ut obtained it in its present condition.

The car was dipped and stripped of all paint approximately 12 years ago. The engine compartment passenger compartment, runk, nd underside were painted with black primer, eported to be POR15. The body surfaces were not primed and developed a coating of surface rust. This was recently sanded and treated with Rustoleum "rust converting primer" for protection. There are some pinholes in the front fenders.

The car is disassembled as can be seen in the pictures with parts stored separately including in a barn loft. The car will need to be trailered and the other parts loaded and transported separately. I believe most of the parts necessary to complete the conversion are present, ut some may have been lost during the past 10-12 years. I do not plan to part this car out. Not interested in trades. Please call 614-268-0192 8 AM-8 PM Eastern Standard Time if you have questions. Leave message and I will return calls promptly.
