Car description

For sale I have a very rare 1970 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler 429!It has the 370hp 429 Cobra Jet motor (with 71k miles) backed by an C6 automatic transmission. It is believed to be the original motor however I cannot make out the numbers. This car has been in storage since the late 80s. Its a true barn find / garage find until I rescued it a few years back. It was kept in a garage on jack stands in primer, rock solid with NO rust at all. Originally was grabber green as you can see in the jambs, engine bay, and trunk. The primer was put on in the late 80s by the previous owner. He was going to have it re painted due to sun fade. The car is complete with all trim, lights, louvers, caps and trim rings, ram air cleaner and finned valve covers. The grabber green was paired nicely with the black and white hounds tooth interior. Bucket seats and console along with the tunneled gauges in the dash. A very cool and unique design. The car does run and "lot" drive. Accelerates, brakes work, steers well...Just hasn't been on the road in many years. If you look closely at the jambs you can even see where the stripes were. The underside is even more impressive than the top. I have included photos to show its true rust free condition.I would imagine it could be road worthy in a weekends worth of time. This car is a true time capsule and a very unique one at that. This vehicle is being listed for sale locally as well so I have the right to end this auction at any time. Shipping is the buyers responsibility, however I will assist in any way. All sales are final! There are no warranties expressed or implied, it is being sold AS IS. I have described this to the best of my knowledge.Do not bid if you do not wish to follow through with the sale. This is a rare chance at owning a real 429 Cobra Jet Cyclone Spoiler!
