1968 Mercury Cougar 351W 4 Speed Custom Restoration NO RESERVE

1968 MERCURY COUGAR351WAfter restoring and building almost 20 Cougars. this build is a combination of my favorite Cougar features from 1967-1969. This is a fresh restoration that took over a year to complete and has recently been finished. 1968 Cougar equipped with a 351 Windsor. 4v Holley Carburetor. aluminum head. 4 speed with Hurst shift kit. This Cougar has front disk. rear drum brakes. which have been gone through. No power brakes. Magnum wheels. brand new tires. Everything has been either rebuilt or replaced. Recored radiator. rebuilt carburetor. newer clutch. new starter. etc. Brand new exhaust. The restoration began with almost a rust free body. with the passenger floor needing to be replaced. the passenger side floor was replaced with correct sheet metal. The rest of the car was solid. no accidents. with good lines. The body was disassembled. primered and painted with 2 stage paint (pictures available). The color is a non metallic raven black. The grill and headlight housing was disassembled and painted gloss black. The headlight actuators have been rebuilt. The interior has been upgraded with 1969 seats with headrests. and 1969 center console. The headliner. sun visors. carpet. seats. dash. seat belts. rear quarter panels are all new. All weatherstripping and seals have been replaced. New stereo with 2 speakers in the rear. Brand new vinyl top. The trunk is solid. newer gas tank. no rust in the drain area. good solid inner quarters. The suspension is stock. All lights work. Light tint on side and rear window. The result of the build is a stripped down version of a 1968 Cougar with performance in mind. The car has lots of torque. shifts fast. and is a rocket in the straight line.
