*** 1964 Mercury Comet 404 ***

I have forsale a beautiful 1964 Mercury Comet 404 4 door sedan.

Not a car you see everyday gets plenty of thumbs ups and typically draws a crowd at the grocery store and gas station.

It has the factory 200 inline 6 backed by the Merc-O-Matic 2 speed automatic transmission has plenty enough pep to cruise around town or get out on the highway and the fuel economy is awesome!

This car is perfect for anyone looking for a nice old car to cruisethe family around in or to go out with friends. Personally I would trust the car to go just about anywhere it runs and drives like a top, andalways starts up on the first try cold or hot.

The car has had a lot of work done to it most was done by the previous owner.

The engine and trans were both pulled resealed and gone through. However it does leak a little bit here and there. Brakes have been gone through.Fuel tank was cleaned and new sending unit wasinstalled.Interior was redone new carpet and upholstery. The driver side rear arm rest is cracked up and has brown tape on itI haveseen several on ebay and other sites, just haven't purchased one to replace it. The car was repainted at some point burgundy withsome metal flake factory paint code to my knowledge the paint still looks great. The car is a driver not a show queen so there are some dings and scratches here and there . . . it is a 1964 not a 2017

To my knowledge everything on the car works as it should. Wipers, heat, lights, turn signals,gauges, etc..

Edit: horn does not work I forgot about that . . . I have not investigated although I am sure its a simple fix

The car is super clean the only rust spot I have found is on the passenger side rear door and its a little bigger then a quarter.

The floor pans, trunk pans, rockers, quarter panels, fenders, bottom side of the doors torque boxes . . you name it its damn near spotless.

All the doors open and shut nice and easy and windows all roll up and down smoothly.The rubber is all in pretty good shape it seals up real nice no wind noise or water leaks.

A aftermarket CD player withAUX hook uphas been added under the dash and the speaker in the dash has been upgraded so you can bump your favorite jams while cruising.

It has the chrome half shade over the headlights gives it a nice classic hotrod look.

The tires are brand new white wallsand the wheels were painted a cream color, looks great with the factory hubcaps.

It does have the factory rear fender skirts on it they are easily removed if you prefer not to run them.

I'm sure there is more I am leaving out if I think of anything else I will add to it. Basically just a cool classic car that you can hop it crank some tunes and drive anywhere the road takes you it is a absolute blast and I'm sure you will not be disappointed!
