1984 diesel mercury Lynx hatchback 5 speed plus 1985 Ford escort parts car

Rare 1984 diesel mercury Lynx.I just took this on trade and don't know a good deal about it.Previous owner claims 50k original miles, I can't verify that. Also claims 50 mpg, that might be accurate.I do know it's rare, it runs, drives, and stops.I drove it 70+ miles home with no problem.It sat for 3 weeks and started up today with only minor rough idle for about ten seconds.
Things it needs...a rear brake cylinder leaks (I have the new replacement on hand, included), it has a torn CV boot (I have an entire CV assembly to replace, included), the ignition tumbler has to be turned on and back just right to run, (a new ignition switch is included), it needs the thermostat fan rewired, the rear passenger door doesn't open from the outside, the fuel tank has a hole if filled too far. There may be other issues that have not become apparent to me.
This car is sold as is. The previous owner staffed he would not hesitate to drive it anywhere, I would hesitate with the leaking brake cylinder and the fan needing rewired.
Also, there is a parts car...1985 Ford escort. Looks to be nearly complete minus a starter. This car over heated and doesn't run. It will need towed.
There is also a turbo and manifolds that I was told will fit this application.
