1967 Cougar Pro Turing, Fresh (Built) 289 Engine, 5 Speed, Rotisserie Retoration

Up for auction is a 1967 Cougar that is being built as a Pro Turing. This Cougar had a rotisserie restoration in 2015. Starting with a rust free and very straight body. The car was taken apart. striped and fresh paint (base coat clear coat) was added. The under side cleaned and coated. Then the car was put back together. (look at the engine compartment. very clean) The original 289 was pro built and pumped up. The automatic trans was used and reinstalled. The stock 8" rear end was also rebuilt and replaced. The car had about 500 miles on the restoration. nbsp;when the T5 5 Speed was installed. After the 5 speed's instillation a vibration was noticed and the car was parked. A new owner purchased the car and it sat for several more years. (In the sun and he was afraid to drive it because of the vibration. ) The Clear coat has started to pill and it now has a couple of small dings. Needs a repaint or? The 289 engine was just pulled out and has been freshened and reinstalled this week. New pistons 40 over with new rings. bearings. at 10 /10. nbsp;for the custom polished and chamfered crank. nbsp;new clutch & disk and all the engines assembly (balanced. ) It now has 10 miles on it and no vibration and runs very strong. (The engine was out of balance. It had a custom crank that was internally balanced and Ford's are externally balanced. ) It has nice heads with lumpy cam and roller rockers. It toped off with a Edelbrock Performer RPM intake. Holley Carb and Headman headers dump in to fuel length 2 1/2" exhaust with flowmaster's. (Sounds Mean) New interior was also installed in vinyl with cloth inserts. Carpeting. headliner. door panels and dash were also new. A Sony CDX-M630 CD with remote and 6X9 matching speakers are in place. The car has a new gas tank with electric fuel pump as back up. This Cougar has nice re plated bumpers and is running new 265X40R-17" Toyo's on American Racing wheels rear and 205X55R-16" on the front. but the front tires are showing age and need replaced. The car has power brakes and is a blast to drive with its 5 speed and built engine. Several up grades have been installed but need finished. A sequential turn signal switch by Cougars Unlimited is in and new windshield washer kit needs installed. Extra stainless comes with. as dose a few extra parts. I looked for a long time to find a good one and this one is. I had one back in high school and had to have one for the memories. This little Cougar is priced right and some one will make a great buy.
