1966 MERCURY Comet Caliente Convertible BARN FIND RESERVE LOWERED!!!!

Red on White, Original numbers matching 1966 Mercury Comet Caliente.289 Automatic, Bucket seat, console shift, 64946 original miles.
I Bought this car from the original owners son. His Father had passed away and car had been sitting indoors since 1983. If you're looking for an original 66 Convertible (no rust) THIS IS IT!!!After purchase, I rebuilt the breaks with all new hardware and wheel cylinders, replaced water pump, new fuel pump, rebuilt carburetor, new plugs and wire cap, and rotors. Air filter and changed oil. Pulled gas tank and had professionally cleaned. Installed brand new top, pads and cables with cloth top and glass window. New carpet and repaired drivers side seat panel. I took pictures of everything while top interior and trunk liner were out to prove there is only one spot of rust on passenger inner fender next to the battery. Also new exhaust from collector at Y pipe, all the way to bumper with new muffler. Tires have good tread but are old, and she could use new shocks. Runs and Drives nicely.Reserve is Thousands lower than I have seen rebuilt cars priced on here. This is the original Paint and she has a few dings and dents, and also has a spot on the hood where paint has worn through, but looks great still!
