1979 MERCURY CAPRI CONVERTIBLE ONE OF ONLY 500 FACTORY AUTHORIZED

This is a 1979 Mercury Capri Convertible. Yes, hat's correct, 1979 convertible! You will recall that few convertibles were made in the 1970's. However, n 1979, ne could walk into a Mercury dealer, urchase a Capri hatchback and have it made into a convertible. That's just what my father-in-law did. Just over 500 were made. And, f course they were theprecursorto the 80's Mustang convertibles. This car is truly a piece of automotive history! The car has been in the family since manufacture. It has recently had the engine rebuilt and rims and tires were replaced. I have the original metric rims if you are interested at a small extra cost. New brake lines and a new windshield were added to make the car road worthy again. As it is about 37 years old, t needs an interior, aint, nd a convertible top (thanks to the hail storms that we have in the Denver area). Please see pictures.
