This Mercedes is a 99.99% rust free California Roadster and features an excellent, mooth, lean running 5.6 liter V8 engine that has effortlessly passed California's strict emissions test just a few weeks ago. The factory automatic transmission shifts smoothly and the ABS equipped brakes function precisely as they should. The car retains the original factory hardtop along with the original equipment, actory installed soft top in excellent, ike new condition. The clear plastic glass in the soft top is also in supple condition, ithout any rips, arks or scratches. This Mercedes still features the factory equipped Becker Grand Prix cassette radio which is thoughtfully supplemented with a 10 CD changer professionally mounted in the trunk compartment area. The original factory, 60 SL specific seven inch alloy wheels feature Goodyear Eagle LS tires. The wood trim is augmented with a beautiful walnut burl shift lever. The Mercedes is being sold with a clear California Title, he above mentioned recent successful smog test receipt, nd California registration paid through May of 2016.

THE EXTERIOR

The body panels, hrome and stainless trim of this 1988 560Sl are in very good, ry and rust-free condition with glossy paint, erfect body panel gaps and no major accidents. The exterior of this Mercedes does have small imperfections to the paint and body in the form of nicks and other light blemishes, ostly along the passenger side. There is also one, lmost imperceptible blurred spot in the paint along the passenger rear quarter. The rear trunk key lock is missing (trunk lid still locks when closing and easily opens by inserting your finger in the keyhole) There is a 2 inch piece of rubber trim missing behind the passenger door. The original SL 7 inch rims should be professionally refinished. The antenna mast will need to be replaced. The rear muffler is showing its age, owever is still quiet and functional. Overall, his Mercedes is in a pretty respectable condition.

THE INTERIOR

The interior of this Mercedes shows the burl wood trim and carpets to be in very good overall condition. The seat covers will need to be replaced. There area reputable suppliers on eBay that sell replacement sets for around $475 for MB Tex materiel, nd around $800.00 for German Leather. The dash top has minor heat cracking. Again, new replacement molded dash covers are available on eBay for around $190.00 Switches for electric windows, peedometer, tereo, linkers, /C and headlights all in working order. A/C does not blow cold air and rear lights are not working at this time. The driver's side lower door pocket is missing. The circular plastic disc part of brake release knob is broken and the small plastic sun visor retaining clips will need to be replaced. The headliner for the hardtop is in excellent condition with no rips, ears or marks. There are mounting holes on both door panels from optional cup holders that are no longer with the car. You can order new cup holders from eBay. The SRS light (restraint system) stays on and the cigarette lighter is missing. All things considered, his Mercedes still has a beautiful and classic cabin area in an elegant and attractive color with all major features in working order.

This 1988 Mercedes has an excellent engine that starts right up and idles quietly, smooth, recise shifting transmission, ight yet supple suspension, nd firm, redictable brakes all contributing to an wonderful driving experience.
