Over all. this is not a concourse show car. but an excellent. original and low mile driver quality 450 SL. I like this example (& would keep it if I could!) because it is nice and reliable enough to enjoy regularly and with pride. but not so nice that you're afraid to take it out and use as intended. Early MBs are rapidly appreciating. and will soon be out of reach for the casual enthusiast. Rarely do you find a realistically priced one that is this original. straight. solid and essentially needless. The beauty of this car is it's originality and especially the color scheme. A BEAUTIFUL AND RARE. 1973 450SE SALOON: This is a very clean. and VERY original (other than the cd player addition in place of the Europa) car. The beauty of this car is it's originality and especially the color scheme. Absolutely love it. and it's what sold me on the car. The exterior is very nice (driver nice). and the all original paint shines nicely. There are flaws in the original paint if you really peer. of course. and there is a little dent that has been touched up above the right front signal indicator. The interior is great. except for the seats (see pics). which show some cracking. and need re-stuffed. The car recently got all new belts. fluids. plugs. wires. condenser. etc. and runs and drives great. The ODO is broken. so it's TMU. but we do have the 150K Kilo certificate and badge.
