Car description

Up for sale is my 1981 Mercedes-Benz 380SL. a 3.8 Liter V8 and automatic transmission, this 380SL is a classic Mercedes. It runs and drives well and has been very well cared for. Duel timing chain conversion and AC upgrade done by a professional garage and signed off at 77518 miles. The owner’s service manual which comes with the car shows the care given to service checks over the years being done by a certified garage, stamped and signed. New battery and shock absorbers installed in 2019.

Finished in Silver Blue Metallic, this car is in excellent overall shape. The original paint and bright work is very nice, with just a couple of small imperfections. There is no rust anywhere on the body, and with no accident the frame is in great condition. The chrome trim shines bright with no rust and the rubber trim is in great. It has a very nice soft top that has rarely been used with clear back window. Matching factory hard top, liner is clean and exterior is in great shape. The exterior of the vehicle is bolstered by stock wheel well beauty trim and bumper mounted fog lights.

The interior features a navy blue leather interior that is very clean. It includes a matching navy blue leather rear seat as well as the carpeted rear seat cover should you desire to remove the back seat and use the insert for a 2 seat sport car look. There is some wear on the seat bolsters, but no rips in the leather or stitching. The dash has wood trim which is stunning. The instrumentation and all devices work properly. There is an aftermarket Alpine radio, but the original radio also comes with the car. In classic Mercedes fashion, these cars were the perfect blend between sport and luxury with a long list of standard features including: power steering, cruise control, climate control, electric windows, fully independent suspension, fuel injection, power assisted four wheel disc brakes, electronic AM/FM stereo with cassette, automatic antenna with selective height adjustment, rear defrost on hard top, adjustable.

There is an issue that shows up with the mileage - if you look at the dates and miles it looks likea pastowner lost the title and sold the car - during that time the mileage was recorded wrong on the new title and was never noticed, or corrected.I believe the mileage has never been tampered withand is correct.
