Car description

Hello! You are looking at a -very- rare 1987 Mercedes Benz 300TD Wagon. This is the only year they produced a Diesel Wagon in the W124 production run. I'll save you the superfluous description as I imagine you know what you're looking at if you clicked on this auction.
I have taken very good care of this automobile for the time I have owned it. I received it in very well maintained condition but I wanted to make it even more right so I invested quite a bit of time and money to make sure the car was that much better. I have about $4k into this car as it stands. I have receipts and the like for work performed. Title is absolutely clean and zero accidents.
- The SLS has been fully refreshed; filter changed, new OEM rear accumulator and shocks.
- Any worn suspension components replaced
- Transmission shaft pad (similar to a guibo)
- Front ABS Sensors
- Oil Change with Premium Synthetic and any fluids that needed to be changed were
- Brand New Premium Tires & Alignment (Yokohama Touring with less than 500 miles on them!)
- Aftermarket OE Headlight Swap (They work very well)
- I spent $1000 on paint correction!! (Yes, really - I'm a freak)
- I bought fully refurbished OE, year correct, wheels.
- Dash Lights replaced to OE spec
Let's not forget is has the 3rd row seats and the inside has been fully detailed.
Ok, on to the not so perfect items. The car does leak a little oil when resting somewhere for a long period of time. This doesn't seem to be a big concern of my local Mercedes Specialist but I feel I should disclose it. The AC needs to be refreshed with R12 (if you're not from CA this should be a lot easier for you). The radio has horrible engine noise (whining sound if you power it on. This will need a new head unit or factory piece (Ideally, I was going to get one from Becker Sound). Other than that this car is SOLID. This is still a car that's over 30 years old but anyone that has seen it cannot believe how clean it is. If you have any other mechanical questions please give the Mercedes specialty shop a call "Honest Engines" in Seaside California. I gave them carte blanche to take care of any issues this car has had. They have been the sole mechanic on this vehicle since I have owned it. I am selling because I have another project to put my time and money into (hint: it's a Mercedes with a 6.3 in it ;-) )
Thanks for looking and please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions
