Car description

Become the proud new owner of "Peaches". Yes, she has a name and yes she is amazing inside and out! Her paint is original in the color Cayenne Orange that was part of the mid-seventies safety colors and she has very little rust that is mostly in little spots behind the rear wheels and a little spot on the roof up by the rear window seal. She is a super cool vintage 1976 Mercedes Benz 240D and takes diesel fuel and also filtered frying oil yes folks, I said USED FRYING OIL!!! I used to run it on fry oil from a fried pie shop but the filtering became a messy challenge for me as my upholstery business got busier and my time got shorter so I have only used gas station diesel in this new engine. She has a new engine and radiator about 2 years ago and probably has less than 3k on this new engine. The old engine failed when the neck of the old radiator severed from the radiator body and that's what prompted the repairs. She just had a vacuum rebuild done on it a few weeks ago too. I installed newfront seat upholstery with new original style rubberized seat padding and vinyl, added a leather steering wheel cover and leather shift boot. Just put in a brand new original style headliner, sun visors & clips, new Retro Radio w/ aux cord, new front and rear window seals. Tires are good but the size is a bit different from the original so the car speedometer reads a bit off so if it looks like you're going 80, you are actually going 72 and you have to adjust up which is easy to do using a GPS like I do. Did I mention that she has original paint in great condition and very minimal rust. She is 4 speed transmission and is GREAT to learn on for kids, I have taught all three of my kids to drive her because that's just something a kid NEEDS to know especially girls. She has great heat and A/C has been converted. It's a 40 year old car that I use as a daily driver, has phenomenalcharacter and charm, gets lots of looks and smiles on the road and is all in all a HAPPY LITTLE CAR. I can also throw in a 1975 automatic that does not run to use for parts for an extra $500.
