This car was owned and loved by a little ole lady for many years that is now no longer able to drive and the family has decided to let it go to a new home, Beautiful triple blue 1980 Mercedes Benz 450SL Convertible with both hard and soft tops (small hole in soft top pictured), This color Lapis blue poly was offered on Mercedes cars for a short time during the early 1980's, This is an original unrestored 39 year old car therefore it is not perfect and has some flaws inside and out easily repairable, For example the interior has it's common flaws ie..cracked dash pad, cracked center armrest, original carpet, working speedometer/non working odometer, AC not working, some minor paint chips, original exhaust/muffler which is why we have this listed this as a fixer upper, I'm picking at the car although it is a beauty for it's age, Super sexy with the top dropped, Cranks, runs, drives and stops fine however due to Grandma no longer driving it has been sitting more lately than it has been driven therefore I would recommend giving it a good checkout before driving on a daily basis, Never wrecked rawhided or abused, Garage kept and well maintained, Engine oil is crystal clear and the engine is dry, Solid body and floors with no rust, Never subjected to salty roads or climates, Original "Becker" am-fm radio w/old school cassette player (Yes the radio and power rear antenna work) Headlights, taillights, blinkers, brakelights, horn, interior courtesy lights, windshield wipers, powerwindows, and the heater/ac blower motor all work, Overall a neat father/son/daughter fixer upper to play with and enjoy as is? or take it to another level?
