Car description

Selling my Tobacco Brown 1971 280s Benz. This is the last year of the W108 if youre familiar with the design. Which is beautiful. It is a beautiful car but like many classics it comes with problems. I purchased this car on ebay about a year and a half ago from Northern California. The car had had 2 owners before that. It was purchased from a Benz enthusiast like myself who didnt drive it much. I on the other hand was looking for a good looking car that I could use as a daily driver. The car has 94000 miles on a rebuilt engine I have NO idea if it has rolled over or not so it could be more miles for all I know. It Starts it Runs It Drives I have done a few thousand in repairs and there is a FULL history of repairs and service since it was purchased. That being said this car needs repairs to be in great working order. OR if you are in a different realm you can Part this car out as these cars are a popular design but spare parts are getting more and more rare and are very valuable. PROS: Car Drives. I have been driving it to work for the last year and a half and have taken it on many road trips 100+ milesGood Tires although there is slight damage on one from scraping a curbPassable interior. Its nowhere near mint but its not totally shreddedAmazing design. These cars have engines built like tanks and a gorgeous design. in its prime this car got alot of attention. CONS: I am not a mechanic and many of these problems will have to be diagnosed properly by a professional. I am giving you my best to describe all the issues with the car that I can find. See PicsDriver side window relay broken (window does not operate)Leak in radiator. Not quite sure on this one but fluid needs replacing after a whileLeak in transmission. Unsure of issue on this either on startup it has trouble switching into drive but after it warms up it works fine. sometimes slips out of drive when stopped. Usually if I add Fluid it will work fine. Antennae broken: I broke the antennae in a car wash. The motor to move it up and down still works though. Driver seat broken: the back of driver seat frame broke and it sagsWater Spots and Clouding on paint: Sadly I left town for many months and left it covered but the heat was so bad it melted the car cover and rain and heat caused water spots on the hood. Clear coat and repair: there is a repair on the passenger side rear from previous owner. Clear coat is cracked also clearcoat coming off above the trunkA/C: works but needs freon chargeRadio WORKS but needs new antennaeupholstery: there is peeling on the ceiling in the back. Crack in the dash cracks in various places carpet could use a wash. Wood is Real but has sun damage. Seals old and crackingSeatbelts mostly good but passenger side is frayingPower steering: I had this fixed and also had the bushings in the steering column replaced but recently the power steering went out. unsure whyIn summary this is a 44 year old car with a host of issues. That being said I still drive it to work and around town. This car would be great for a mechanic. Benz lover. a vintage parts seller. or someone who doesn't mind a cool looking classic that needs some TLC.
