THE BODY AND TRIMThe exterior of this 1992 500SL is in good to very good rust-free condition overall. The paint has a still deep lustrous shine with some paint blurring/fading on the rear deck lid. some scraping on the underside of the front spoiler. miscellaneous rock nicks. chips. touched up spots and other minor imperfections one would expect of a twenty plus year-old car. THE INTERIORThe interior of this Benz is in very good condition overall. Most all of the controls and gauges work as they should. The A/C blows cold. the heat hot. the windows work well. the stereo is excellent. Minor imperfections inside the car include non-op heated seats. a bit of pulling away on the bottom side of the driver seat leather. oil gauge goes limp after warmup [will include a couple of viagra pills :-) ]. The soft top seems to be getting power but jammed closed. I am told that it can be opened manually though I just keep the top down with hardtop removed and stored.
