1985 MERCEDES BENZ 500 SEC The 500 SEC was produced in 1984 and 1985. Under the bonnet was powered by a five-liter V8 engine that produced just under 185 horsepower (at the rear wheels) . The SEC was a two-door coupe with seating for five. Also in the 500 Series was the 500 SEL which was a four-door sedan also with seating for five. The cost of the SEC was $56. 00 while the SEL cost $51. 00. The 500 SEC was the most expensive Mercedes-Benz in 1984 and 1985. Standard equipment included an anti-theft alarm and outside temperature sensor.
