1992 Mercedes-Benz 400SE Sedan

Here's a rare find. This is a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 400SE Sedan.

The 400 SE is basically an ancestor of the S -Class sedan we know today. In fact, the following year (1993), this same "W140" model was renamed as the S420. This was a Mercedes flagship, and was ahead of its time in 1992, and is still very well equipped by today's standards.

This one starts right up and drives fine, and is perfectly suitable as a driver. Its in good condition, but will need some attention to become a prime example. Its nice, but its not new, and has a few issues that need attention (a great car for a restoration, perhaps). It is priced accordingly.

The exterior is in good shape. The paint shines all around, and there are no significant dents. Carfax shows no accident history or any other problems.

There is a rust spot on the hood.

There is some desolation on the grill - it almost looks like it was painted gold at some point.

The body is straight.

The interior is also in good shape - especially for a 1992 model year car. This car has dual power seats with memory, but the driver's seat is not working

The seats are also heated, and the heaters DO appear to be working.

The rear seat is nice as well.

There are rear A/C vents

This Mercedes-Benz comes with power windows, locks and mirrors; power tilt wheel, cruise control, and more.

The right rear power window is not working. Also the ABS light is on.

The wood trim looks very good throughout.

The original radio is in the car, but it does not power up.

The air conditioning works, and is cold.

The power sunroof works perfectly.

The 4.2 liter V8 starts right up and runs strong.

This car has 161,437 actual miles on it. The odometer is in Kilometers, showing 259,808km. (Carfax shows to be an original Canadian car)

We are a licensed and bonded auto dealer in Florida.

Please read my description and all other information completely and view all the pictures carefully before you bid on this auction to ensure you are knowledgeable about the vehicle you are bidding on. We occasionally buy our cars from new car dealers, and in rare cases the dealer has to make a payoff to a finance company and wait for the title, which could be delayed up to 15 days. We are a dealer, and all vehicles are for sale to the public. We therefore reserve the right to cancel all bids and end the auction early if the vehicle is sold. We reserve the right to cancel bids from those with excessive or net negative feed back.

Venue for any legal action such as claims, motions, litigation, settlements, or any legal action associated with this sale from either the buyer or seller is to take place in the State of Florida in Broward County. Payment and Fees

We will add a $795 dealer prep charge to the final bid price. If a vehicle is not picked up within 10 days of the auction close, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable storage fee.

If you are seeking financing, please be sure to hold off on your bid until your funding has been approved. I DO NOT ACCEPT BANK DRAFTS OF ANY KIND. You are responsible for your own finance arrangements so please take care of them before bidding.
You may pay the purchase price in cash, with a cashiers or certified check or wire transfer. If you are the winner, a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction is sufficient to hold the car until the remainder can be sent or car is picked up. Final payment is expected within 72 hours (3 days) of auction's end. If these forms of payment are not acceptable, please do not bid

If you are a Florida resident, you will be required to pay Florida's 6% sales tax and registration fees.

If you are not a Florida resident, and you are are driving the vehicle away from our lot, you will be required to pay your state's sales tax up to 6%. If your state's sales tax is more than 6%, you will be required to pay the difference in your home state. If your state has no sales tax on motor vehicles, we will not charge you any sales tax. If you have the vehicle shipped, we will not charge you any sales tax (however, you will have to pay your state's tax at home).
