Car description

1971 European Mercedes Benz 280SE 3.5 elegant Paul Braq designed sedan - rare!

SEE PHOTOBUCKET LINK BELOW FOR AVAILABLE RECEIPTS.

Incorrect badging! Nice revving 3.5 motor - VDO RPM gauge.

Mileage may not be accurate due to speedometer's mechanical limits (kph speedo).

Could be 133,381 kilometers or MORE - as stated above 33,381 represents the speedometer's limits.

The car has a clean California title, with registration paid current (due for renewal July 12th)

NO smog needed :)

Purchased it early 2015. Drove from Davis to Concord and made the trip "defiantly" as the previous owned stated. He had bought it from a neighbor who garaged it. Painted black by him. No oil leaks. Starts after months at a stretch! Great interior.

This was my daily driver for over a month in June of last year when I wrecked my Rav 4. Easily did the 100 mile roundtrip from Concord to San Rafael. Stalled on me just once (but after crossing the bridge) since the alternator went out. That was a $300 plus repair.

Front indoor map light is loose. After market exhaust by PO should be changed!

Paint rated 0 out of 10. Originally green. Current black paint is oxidized. Buff it up and drive as is or go the full restoration route!

Rust spots: one hole where the driver's seat attaches to floor, couple of spots near door footsteps and trunk corners - typical of these models!

Aftermarket radio hasn't worked - per PO, minor fuse/wiring issue.

PO replaced indicator stalk. Driver's side headlight out - spare light in trunk

NO jack, spare tire is in trunk (some personal items stored in trunk and I will pull those out.

Manual windows, sunroof (inoperative), AC unit as pictured (have not used it unsure of functionality)

Hood release cable needs replacement (using pliars to open).

I am selling it due to lack of space (and energy to work on it!) and I don’t want it deteriorating outside. Same goes for the Alfa. Located a Euro 6.9 and going to devote more attention to it!

CAR AND ANY REFERENCED PARTS ARE BEING SOLD AS-IS WITH NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.

The start price is very low considering rarity - with no reserve - this model, NOW 45 years old should appreciate in value soon!
