Car description

NOTE:

This vehicle has been re-listed; (had been a "Buy it Now" for $8750)

It will not be relisted on ebay after this auction.

PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AT THE EXCEPTIONAL AutoCheck REPORT FOR THIS CAR. ACCESS IT BY CLICKING ON THE AutoCheck PORTION OF MY LISTING. IT APPEARS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE THE DESCRIPTION.

This Mercedes is unique in that despite its age (28 years) it has only 32,500 original miles. The original owner put only approximately 22,000 miles on it over about a7 year period. He then apparently must have lost ownership as thevehicle report mentions that it was auctioned in 1995.(I only recentlyanalyzed the vehicle report regarding this because someone asked about the early history.) I honestly know very little as to precisely what occurred regarding transfers during the first years after the car had been imported. It cannot say one way or the other as I don't know why or how it was auctioned (and I'm uncertain as to the relevance of this anyway). The owner from whom I purchased it, bviously, used it very sparingly over the many years he owned it. I bought itabout 3 years ago and over that time, have put only about 2000 miles on it. As the AutoCheck report indicates, experienced no mechanical problems with the car and neither did either of the previous owners. It should be noted that if the car is allowed to idle in hot weather (e.g. in a traffic jam), he AC output is significantly reduced. I understand this may be remedied by adding another fan (or an electric fan) to the cooling system or some similar remedy. Other than the aforesaid circumstance, he AC system works very well and sufficiently cools the car in hot weather. The car has a new radiator and thermostat. These were not in need of repair. Rather, updated/replaced these to augment the AC system. However, recall now that the car did act as though it was going to over-heat on 1 occasion (though it did not).I recall that was what promptedreplacement of the radiator and thermostat and after that, the car never againacted as though it would overheat. However, he diminution in the AC output was still an issue when stuck in traffic. With regard to the aforesaid single incident: Ihad beentravelling from near the Pittsburgh airport to downtown. The PA Dept. of Transportation (PennDOT) was doing extensive work on the highway and I had toidle in traffic for a considerable time; approximately 45 minutes if I remember correctly. I like to be proactive regarding my means of transportation and so replaced the aforementioned parts. Other than those replacements, he car was never repaired. I believe I changed thebrake pads since I purchased the car, oughttires and I did recently detail the exterior.

NOTE: Apparently, utoCheck is counting the dealership (that sold the car when it was new)as an owner. Also, s mentioned previously, he mileage is inordinately low which (obviously) would be sufficient to warrant a higher asking price.Regardless, he listed price for this vehicle is commensurate withother vehiclesof the same make/model that are for sale on theInternet(and those other vehicles typically have well over triple the mileage this car has).

Both the interior andexterior are in excellent condition. There are no known defects. (I will try to add more photos; not so easy as I am in California and the car is storednear Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania.)

The company with which the car is insured (Amica)values the car at approximately $13,900 and requires that it be insured for this amount. I have thus far been unable to locate accurate Kelly Blue Book information regarding its value due to the inordinately low mileage. Regardless, y every indication the vehicle is worth far more than the price for which it has been offered for sale.

Should you have any questions regarding the car, can be contacted at 323-636-1842. Should you call, lease be aware that I am in the Pacific Standard Time Zone.

I've added a photo of the odometer taken on 7-29-2015. It read 32,446. It's probably a few miles more than that as it was driven for about an additional 10 days since I last left PA (during early August).

The car has current Pennsylvania registration and state inspection stickers (passed inspection).I have documentation for these (and for the aforementioned replacement of the radiator and thermostat).

The cloth seats are unusual but are original as apparently the car was imported directly from Germany (as I was informed by the previous owner and a local auto expert).

Itis alsoworth noting that my customer satisfaction record on ebay is perfect with 151 transactions. I have sold 1 other vehicle on ebay for approximately $14,000 and, eedless to say, he owner was completely satisfied as my record demonstrates.

My reason for trying to sell the car is that, ntil now, he car was garaged. I sold the property in Pennsylvania where the car had been kept sooner than I had expected. Consequently, had to move the car to an outdoor location (a small parking lot at abuilding that I own). I don't want to leave the car exposed to the elements/weather and it has become too difficult to manage affairs related to the vehicle from this great distance.

Some ofmy (paraphrased) answers to questions asked:

Regarding fading: No. No fading. The paint is original and in excellent condition.

It was recently buffed and still has lustre.
