Car description

1960 190SL Mercedes Benz Beautilful survivor. This is a highly documented car, ervice records go back to 1971! Has original PHH44 Carburetors.Current (3rd) owner has owned it for the past 34+ years. It was purchased in Seattle WA on November 2, 980. The previous (2nd) owner was a Seattle medical doctor. At the time of purchase the vehicle showed 92,640 miles on the odometer. The car was originally sold as a factory grey color. The first owner is believed to have changed the color to signal red, Mercedes factory color.Repainted in 1988. The upholstery including carpet, eats, nd soft top, s well as the chrome were also redone at this time. A new steering wheel purchased from Mercedes was fitted to the car during the 1988 refresh. Maintenance receipts for the car date back to 1971, rom the second owner. Receipts include records for work mechanical shop including general maintenance and brakes. An electrical switch for ignition is fitted to the vehicle, e are not sure if this a factory feature. The vehicle has been stored in a heated garage for the past 10 years, t has not been driven in this time. The 190 has always been in an inside garage by the current owner and not driven unless the weather allows for the top to be down. Current milage is 106,147. A little work is anticipated to get it back on the road. To test engine, installed DCOE Webers, lectric fuel pump and external gas tank, nd had engine running. The left door lock worn out prior to 1980 so it was replaced. The new lock is not keyed the same as the right side, esulting in right and left door keys. Brake work also necessary. There is some rust in the floor pans, patch panel replacement is recommended. Cleaning fuel tank, ervicing carbs, nd rebuilding brakes will likely be required to operate car. (The hubcaps were not all on the car when the photos were taken, ut are included with the car.) This is an excellent concours restoration candidate or keep as is and have well preserved example of a legendary Mercedes Benz 190SL.Please call with any questions 425-445-3255
