Car description

European Motor Studio is proud to offer this beautiful and rare 1987 Maserati BiTurbo Zagato Spyder. Finished in Grigio Azzurro Metallic over Tan leather with a complimenting dark Blue canvas convertible top. Having left the Modena factory in November of 1986 and then invoiced to Maserati North America where it sold new in the states. The second owner bought this BiTurbo where the car lived in Seattle WA until now. Having only covered 40,290 miles from new, this beautiful Spyder has just had a major engine out service including the timing belt and all other belts, head gasket, valve job, new seals and hoses, new plugs and wires, fluids, new clutch and new AC condenser. The beautiful Grigio Azzurro Metallic paint has an excellent finish to it and looks to be original. Very few chips in the front nose and a small quarter size scrape in the lower passenger side skirt. All of the chrome and rubber are in excellent condition and the original convertible top is in nice condition with one small hairline split no more than an inch line on the driver side where the fold is. The interior is in excellent original condition showing very minimal wear on the two front seats free from any scrapes or any tears. The carpets are in excellent condition with very little age and the dash and wood are in excellent condition free from any damage or shrinkage. The engine starts right up and runs beautifully. The turbo’s kick in as they should and the car pulls incredibly strong. The gearbox and clutch have an excellent solid feel to them and the suspension and steering are nice and solid free from any noises or looseness. The brakes feel excellent with no grinding or fade. All of the electronics are operating as designed including the door locks, the interior and exterior lights, dash lights, AC, windows (driver window slow to move up) are all functioning. This is an excellent running and driving BiTurbo that has been very well maintained and very well sorted. Very difficult to find such a well maintained car with all of the recent work just performed and ready to go. A very clean solid body and undercarriage shows no rust of any kind of or any signs of prior repair or damage. Accompany the sale with the car are the original Maserati keys, tool kit, owners handbook and original dealer brochure.
