Car description

**PLEASE SCROLL DOWN THE AD LISTING PAGE TO VIEW A COMPLETE SET OF DETAILED PHOTOS OF THE VEHICLE**Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very sharp and attractive Lotus Europa in the right colors. This Twin Cam was just purchased from it's long time owner in Michigan who stated the car was put into storage in 1979 and has been off the road since then ! The engine was rebuilt and upgraded at that time with a highly desirable European specification Weber cylinder head. The owner had trouble tuning the engine, so it resided in indoor storage, and has never been exposed to the outside. The bodywork on this car is very good. The car still retains all of it's Triplex glass and even it's original Lucas headlights. There are some very minor stress lines primarily on the driver's side roof area, a couple spider cracks in the front left fender, and a few other body imperfections. The paintwork is from the 1970's but is in quite remarkable shape for it's age. It has now mellowed a bit to a driver quality level, but is perfectly suitable and very attractive for a car like this. The car's interior trim is believed to be completely original including the seats, carpets, dashboard facia and top pad, headliner, door panels, etc. and all appear in very good to decent order throughout, needing some small repairs. The car's engine is understood to have been rebuilt before being stored all those years ago. A compression test showed a fantastic 180 psi on all four cylinders. The engine starts well and will run on gravity fed fuel to the twin Weber 40 DCOE carbs. The engine sounds very healthy and robust, but definitely needs some expert tuning, most likely to the carburetion and/or ignition systems. Please see video of running engine. The LH fuel tank needs repair, as it leaks. At least a brake and fuel system service would be needed before this car could return back to the road...The car's underside looks well-preserved and fairly clean, keeping in with the car's recorded mileage.Overall, an extremely attractive Europa in great colors, needing some straightforward TLC to make it a very nice roadworthy example. The market for these interesting and exciting cars is showing strength as of late, and this well-preserved example could prove to be a smart buy.BELOW IS A VIDEO LINK OF THE CAR RUNNING:https://youtu.be/mCCZNQx-Kjc
