1960 Lincoln Mk 5 Continental MkV

We have decided to offer our beautiful Lincoln for sale.

As the detailed pictures of the undercarriage, exterior and interior show, this is a very original dry climat, carefully owned and used 57 year old Continental .

Our 1960 Mk5 Continental is in very original and stock condition.

Low Mileage survivor, 40k miles believed to be correct but not warranted, Turn Key, needs brake work, But E brake works perfect, also needs some electrical tinkering in line with her age on window switches and lights.

Please note that due to the above this 57 year old Lincoln is sold as a project car for the collector or enthusiast and although turn key, not road or trip ready, the brakes and exhaust need work, in particular the brakes.

At a cursory look, the issue is with the Treadlvac Booster, and it is common practice just to upgrade the old booster system with a 70s era Lincoln Mercury Brake Master/booster setup.

These are normally available right here on eBay for less than $200 for the whole set up, and most experienced mechanics would tell you it is around 2 to 3 hours to change the master and booster unit as one assembly, including bleeding time.

The wheel cylinder kits if needed are normally available from Autozone.

She does come with 4 new white wall HANKOOK tires just installed and although not apparent in the pictures, the carpet is like new and un-faded, un-torn with no stains.

In conclusion, this beautiful white Lincoln although turn key is sold as a project car due to the brake and exhaust work needed as well as some expected electrical work on window switches and lights in line with her age.

Our Lincoln is available for any inspection at our showroom in Beautiful Sunny Costa Mesa, California or at ANY REPUTABLE service garage of your choice within a reasonable radius of our showroom.

We at Performance Vintage International are licensed California Classic and exotic car dealers, and only for California buyers will charge sales tax and state mandated transfer and documentation fees (registration fees are paid to the state, plus a $65 documentation fee with sales tax based new owner’s county rate).

We do not charge out-of-state buyers for these fees and they will be responsible for their own fees and need to pay their own state fees and taxes themselves as appropriate and we will only charge a $75 documentation fee.

Any shipping fees will be buyer’s responsibility and you can select your own carrier and pay them directly.

In line with normal eBay practices please note that all inspections are to be made prior to auction close ! winning the car does not entitle you to come and inspect her to see if she is really what you want ! That should be done before you place your bid !

Prior to auction close, multiple inspections by the same person are no problem and welcome, you can come back as many times as you like, bring friends, cousins, mechanics, brothers, sisters, neighbors or spouses all welcome !

Hello all, we thought to address a couple of questions that have come up once or twice: All the Glass on the car is exceptionally nice, I would say close to as new, not even one chip, or heat bubbles, or fogging anywhere not even wiper blade scratches, not even the usual scratches old cars have due to the door windows going up and down. To our knowledge, the Rear window works, never tired the A/C I am sure not working due to age, but a simple system to fix, as for the engine, to our knowledge the engine is the original that came with this car from the factory.

It should also be said that in addition to the 24 pictures of the car in the top of the listing, this listing has an " additional 58 " detailed pictures under the description section and it would be great for you to make sure you scroll through all of them to the bottom, one que is that the last few pictures are of the undercarriage, so if you have not seen the under carriage pictures, the chances are you have missed most of the other detail pictures too. We just thought to mention that point about being able to view all the pictures :)
