Car description

1991 Land Rover Defender 90 200 TDI Diesel – ROW (RHD)5-Speed with NEW Exmoor soft top

  • VIN: SALLDVAF7HA704174 (There is a clean and clear Georgia title; however the posting was not able to validate the Import VIN). To my knowledge, the vehicle has not been in any accidents.
  • Just over 165,000 miles
  • 200TDI in great shape
  • Imported from the UK in May 2020;
  • Brand new Exmoor soft top
  • New front and rear seats and center box
  • Non-smoking owners
  • New silver paint and graphic package
  • Smooth Gearbox and Clutch
  • All fluids in engine, transfer box, transmission and differentials has been checked and filled if needed.
  • Runs, stops, starts and drives as it should

This is my truck that was purchased and imported by me. It is in solid, presentable shape and it will serve the next owner with years of reliable service. The 200TDI is a great diesel with enough power to keep up with Atlanta traffic. The overall look of this Defender is hard to beat as I searched the UK for a while to find one in this type of shape.

EXTERIOR:
Top:

  • The brand new Exmoor Top was installed before having it shipped and is in great shape.

Paint:

  • The paint and body are in good shape. Not perfect, but very presentable and turns heads.
  • There are some small dings and scrapes as this truck has some highway use to it.
  • The paint and decals are basically new as I had it painted before putting it on the boat.

Glass:

  • The glass is in great shape. Windows roll up and down as they should.
  • The window trim does have a bit of dry rot to it but could easily and cheaply be replaced by the next owner.

Body:

  • The rear cross member has some bubbling to it,but the rust has been neutralized.
  • There is rust on the frame (as most do), but it still has some good mileage left on it. The truck still feels structurally sound drives very well on roads and highways.

Tires/Wheels:

  • The tires are OEM size (235/85/16) with good tread left (not pictured)
  • The wheels are in great shape and are not eaten up with curb rash.

Chassis:

  • There is rust and flaking on the chassis.

INTERIOR:

Rear:

  • The rear floorboard was cleaned and was recently coated with Truck Bed Liner
  • It is in good shape, but there are a couple of small holes in the truck bed

Seats:

  • The interior is in great shape and the seats show no stains or wear as they were recently installed.
  • The back jump seats are brand new and have never been sat in.

Doors:

  • The door cards are not nicked or faded.
  • The door bottoms did have some surface rust(which is common) but, have also been coated with Corroseal and painted.

Floor Mats:

  • The interior mats are nice but do show some wear.

Dash:

  • The dash is in great shape as it has no fading or cracking at all.
  • It has an aftermarketAM.FM.CDplayer.

DRIVETRAIN:
The truck starts, stops and drives like it should. It has over 165k miles, but there are no shakes or shimmies that plague some of these trucks. The steering is tight and responsive. The coils and shocks are in good shape and keep it hugging the road. The 200TDI does a good job keeping up with traffic while retaining some semblance of fuel economy. The clutch is great too as it lets up near the top. The truck moves through the gears like it should with no grinding or synchro noises. No power steering or coolant leaks.
