We are very excited as she has just became eligible for importation and now here in Durham, NC. She is our first to arrive that was born with the legendary 300tdi engine. Finished in original and classic Land Rover Arles blue and a Ivory white roof which is a lovely combo for a classic Land Rover. The exterior shows usual age related marks for a utilitarian 4x4, which only add to its overall character. The original paint through out shows a great patina . Equipped with the world-renowned 2.5 300Tdi power plant with the R380 5-speed manual. It fires into life easily with only a brief amount time needed to warm the glow plugs. Truck has a high-low transfer case, with a center-locking differential. This Defender sits on a Richards Chassis that is galvanized (frame) and will stay rust free. All the doors and bulkhead are also complete.
The 300Tdi diesel engine sports an inter-cooled turbo boost design, superior to the older versions and with improved longevity and overall performance has made this a highly desired engine over the years, making this a great vehicle for off road adventures or to enjoy daily. It has gone on to prove itself as one of Land Rovers most reliable and trusty engines ever produced. It really is a true joy to drive and it holds straight and steady on the road. The 300tid engine matted to the R380 gearbox is a breeze to drive and very enjoyable. The interior is very clean and standard with grey vinyl seats up front with bench seats in the rear. Complete with Exmoor Trim sound deadening and front matting. Added feature of front light guards and bull bar bumper for extra protection. It sits on 16" alloys with almost new 235/85/16 Nexon tires for a comfortable and smooth ride. All light, heater, wipers, radio and gauges all work as they should. This Defender is turn key and ready to be enjoy.
