Car description

This Land Rover is in excellent condition and has been tastefully updated.The paint is in very nice condition and the interior shows new. It drives andpulls strong. There is no vibration at speed and it maintains cruising speedeasily. The brakes work perfectly. The turbo diesel has more than enoughpower for the oversize tires and they help the vehicle achieve a cruisingspeed not normally seen in early Rovers. This is a rare 3/4 ton model withSalisbury 24 spline rear axle.

Engine2.5 Turbocharged Diesel Intercooled. 1986 Engine from a Defender runsgreat with no smoking except a little on cold start. Custom 2.5" mandrelbent exhaust system. 2.25" mandrel bent intake system with customintercooler. Exhaust gas temperature and boost gauges. Glow plugscontrolled with push button on dash. Boost goes up to 10 psi and holds.The engine pulls strong up to 65 m.p.h. and EGT never gets above 1000 Feven pulling steep hills at cruising speed.
TransmissionMilitary specification 4 Speed. Clutch, clutch master cylinder, clutch line, and clutchslave cylinder all replaced when engine swapped last year.
