Performance & Operation:

This truck is one of the BEST RUNNING Classics that i've come across this year. It fires up instanly and purrs like a kitten. IT. IS. FAST. Suprisingly fast. We dont think of 3.9's as anything to write home about these days but i am continually shocked - every time i drive it - at how smooth and sporty the feel of this truck is. At a green light, leave everything else in my rear-view mirror. Up and over the 405 freeway from the westside to the valley and back, he takes off like a rocket - passing everything - AC on full blast.

The suspension is still incredibly plush and responsive. The steering is accurate and tight withouth any float or wander.

She sticks to the road even pushing past 90mph and the drivetrain components are virtually inaudible at speed. Kickdown is effortless and perfectly timed. There is no viscous binding at full lock left or right. Typical downshift load can be felt.

She has stand-on-your-head powerful brakes and being non abs, ill always be reliable!!!

The moon-roof, sually a cause for worry on 88/89's is also one of the fastest, moothest working units i have ever seen. To that point, he windows, ocks, eats, irrors, ontrols, orn, ights, ll work great too.

She is also leak free and nice driveway safe!

If we are to discuss any woes at all, hey are negligible and are to this point: 1) The elbow drive cluster. This particular unit rolled around at 100K and you need to clock it accordingly. She is a 170K miles truck and this is CARFAX verified at each inspection. 2) She had a RHR blind-spot kiss while changing lanes in stop and go traffic. This was professionally repaired and you wouldnt know it even if you looked with a magnifying glass. This is also carfax noted as it was paid for through an insurance claim.

Body, hassis & Coachwork:

If the pictures don't say it all, his thing is a 100% head-turner and it is totally unique. You dont see many Alaskan Blue RRC's anymore... and if you do, hey are badly oxidized. This garaged gem is an ablsolute blast to drive because its performance is truly matched by its unique style. If you've been fortunate enough to see glaciers in person, nd have witnessed the deep stealth blue of their core, hen you know the inspiration for this color! Its finish it touchably smooth and a coffee cup placed on the slope of the bonnet will slide right off! Additionally, have tried my best to capture the nuance of the color. It is both a deep "Robin Egg" type blue... but also a gun-metal heather. In full sun, he absolutely sparkles!!!

Take a minute to note the quality of the door jambs, heel arch highlights, pper tailgate corners, tc. They are rust and rot free, ust as this vehicle was shipped from the factory. Pay close attention to the core support and bulkhead under the bonnet. You will notice the same - rust, ot, nd corrosion free panels and seam unions. All of this translates to integrity for a LONG time to come.

The Winchester Grey interior is wonderfully clean. Odor free, lush, nd bright. The carpeting is still soft too.

The newly fitted headliner and Bearmach custom floor mats renew the entire scope of the cabin and really make her look as new as she feels to drive.

Included here with this vehicle is a delightful collection of 89 era literature including the Range Rover Royal Welcome (reserved material for purchasers ONLY), wners manual, read lightly bulletin and road recovery leaflette, howroom brochure and magazine ad. The brochure and ad feature the Alaskan Blue truck set against two unique backgrounds... estate life, nd overland extreems. For me, he joy of this truck comes from the duality of this color... at home as either a luxury car or luxury off road truck. Yes of course, ange Rover's were meant to be both... but there are colors that enhance these traits and this, y far, s one of the best in my opinion.

Purchasing, erspective & Why Buy From Me:

Please read my outstanding feedback from folks like you! No one puts a Land Rover together better than me, ERIOD. It's the vehicle I drive, nd the vehicle I RACE. Nearly two decades of Rover ownership and service are poured into every Rover that I see into new hands.

The commitment to service here is a commitment to my own passion and to a shared bond between enthusiasts. You wont find that anyplace else. Beware of any vintage Rover that does not share the same service points as the ones I advertise with my trucks. They are ESSENTIAL for long term reliability and any Rover without these services are ticking time bombs. I am not a Land Rover tech that drives home in a Honda Civic. I come from a long line of British Car technicians and Live, reathe and even RACE the green oval. I understand ALL of your concerns and needs and do my best to ensure that you will be happy based on a simple, et powerful concept: DOES THIS VEHICLE MAKE ME HAPPY? WOULD I PUT MY WIFE AND BABY IN IT? WOULD I LOVE TO HAVE IT? The answer is always yes. And that's when I know they are ready. I care. I know you do, oo.

To that point - watch out for copy cats. It has come to my attention that people claim they work with/partner with me. This is not true. If you aren't buying one from me... its, ell, OT from me!!!

THE IDEA OF "NEW TO ME VS. A NEW CAR"

I am VERY proud of each and every Rover that I hand select and hand-craft. As amazing as all of them are,I wouldn't ever say any of them are "perfect." I have only used the term museum piece ONCE. And i am well aware of the qualifiers for that moniker.

With each and every listing, try to capture the flavor of what strikes me about each vehicle. I try to capture their essence. While they are all Rovers, ll made in the same place, ach one is different.

It is not possible to discuss every nut and bolt, ut I have done my best to list and discuss what would matter to ME. Let me know what matters TO YOU. While she may soon be "new to you" she is "not new" and you should be prepared for all that is involved with owning a used vehicle. She is sold as-is. No more should be expected. There is not ANYTHING that concerns me here; if there was, would tell you. I invite you to ask ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS NOW!

PLEASE, LEASE, LEASE - ASK AWAY!

There are no queries too obscure; your satisfaction is the goal here. Additionally, Bay offers a 3rd party inspection service to verify ALL of your acquisition needs IN PERSON. Purchase of the vehicle = SATISFACTION. Once this auction is over, he winning bid and purchase imply that satisfaction has been achieved and will be understood as such.

This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION so you are bidding to win! Please make sure that you bid ONLY what you are prepared to pay. This means, hen the auction is over, nd the winning bid is placed, his becomes THE SALE PRICE of the vehicle. Under no circumstances does it open the door to negotiate or back out of your commitment. The people bidding for this vehicle actually want it. Do not spoil their chances at ownership by arm-chair bidding. Yes, veryone joins eBay at some point, nd there is no prejudice against lower transaction numbers here - HOWEVER - if I suspect and/or become aware of any insincerity on the part of said bidder, reserve the right to cancel all bids from and block that insincere bidder from this auction.

Completion of this transaction is fairly straight forward. Once the auction is over, will be contacting the winner immediately and we can discuss the easiest way to finalize the transition.

Who is this truck for?

This truck has distinction written all over it and seams to scream out to the newbie and collector alike. She is a TOTAL pleasure to drive and would be a fantastic daily driver. A "cars & coffee" weekend head turner. A seasonal holiday or guest vehicle and absolutely a fantastic candidate for a luxury off road build project. This is an outstanding opportunity to get into a distinctive RRC that will go toe-to-toe with the best of them out there. There arent many exposed hinge, eather spared, ingle family Range Rover Classics out there and this is certainly one of the best of that small class!!! Good Luck and Happy Rovering!!!
