Features Description

We are selling my mechanically sorted 1969 Land Rover Series IIa. I have been working on this one off and on for about a year. It starts up first time every time and runs and drives like it should. I've been bombing around Bend in her all summer and I get looks and questions everywhere I go. Every switch works as it should - lights, eater and guages all function. It drives smoothly and feels solid. Frame has no corrosive rust and is as solid as I have seen for an original frame. Rear tailgate has new hardware but is an older, on-matching door and can easily be replaced with an inexpensive Series take off tailgate (I left it because I like the rustic look).

The original intention was to fully restore this Rover, ut after speaking with many people, he consensus was it looked more special leaving the patina and keeping it cosmetically original. A lot of money has been put into the mechanics of the car. It's a fantastic platform for a full cosmetic restoration should someone choose to do that.

Work completed in the past year:

- New Series IIa syncro-meshed high gear ratio transmission from Rovers North. She can cruise on the freeway at 60mph+ and I drive around town all day in 3rd gear and rarely even need to shift. It clicks into gear as it should and is a pleasure to drive.

- New clutch slave cylinder

- New radiator and hoses

- New brake shoes, rake shoe adjusters, ub seals and bearings

- New axel seals

- New tie rod ends

- New speedo cable

- New choke cable

- New aluminum sill panels

- New galvanized front bumper

- New shift boot

- New spark plugs, ull tune up, arb cleaning

- Misc seals and gaskets replaced

- Included with sale are all door seals, ailgate seals and dash vent seals (not installed)

- Included are door cards and arm rests (not installed)

- Included is a new vent knob (not installed - right dash vent needs adjustment)

Work completed by prior owner:

- New front seats

- New seat belts front and rear

- Old Man Emu shocks and steering stabilizer

- New battery

The original top is included with the vehicle as are the door tops and glass. One side door glass piece is broken but can be easily replaced. Top could use a little work. Personally, would get a hoop kit and canvas top for it.  Windshield wipers and motors have been removed.  We have original parts but I would install new ones.  It was always a summer, op off driver for me so I had not intended to install them.  Heater defrost hoses need to be correctly installed as well.
