Car description

1978 Volkswagen Transporter bus in Turkis (Torquise) with brown interior. This bus has been extremely well taken care of. Runs. drives. brakes fantastic! The exterior locks function with 1 key. and all of the knobs / turn signals / horn / heater / lights work as they should! You can easily cruise 60 MPH on the freeway without any issues. The suspension is very tight. and the steering is direct. The 2. 0 Litre motor gives this car enough juice to run around sometimes even forgetting your driving a Volkswagen Bus! The radio has very good speakers. and works well. The previous owner installed a kill switch so that you can turn the radio on / off without having to turn the ignition on. The bus comes with the original spare. receipts. It literally has $31. 00+ just in receipts! The interior is in good shape. but could still use some work. The headliner has a few areas that are not perfect. and the driver side seat needs to be reupholstered. A few panels need to be taken apart and stapled back together. Otherwise it is very complete including a crack free dash. good sun visors. middle bench. rubber mats. steering wheel. This bus was originally painted at the factory Mustard Yellow and Mocha Brown. but in 2012 the owner decided to paint the car in a 1960's vintage splitty color (Trukis) which looks fantastic! When the car was painted the body shop removed all of the windows. and replaced the rubber seals before putting them back in. The car received a few rust repairs on the center of the bus (see photos). The work was done with original Volkswagen panels that retained the factory grooves. The paint job looks very nice! A 9/10. The single known issue is the 1st gear tending to want to pop out when driving down hill while having all the weight on the transmission. It needs to be adjusted or a new bushing to be installed. If you hold your hand in place it does not pop out. There are a few things that can be done to take this bus to the next level. Some people may care to do them right away. and others will never address the "issues". Photo Gallery Running / WalkaroundVideo If you have any questions please call +(213)308-4478 Yevgen
