Car description

This 1986 Jeep CJ7 is the rare, last model of the 1976-through-1986 CJ7 series production run. It's an offspring of the venerable 1954-to-1984 CJ5 series, but it has a longer wheelbase and upgraded mechanical features. When Chrysler purchased Jeep from the American Motors Corporation (AMC) in 1987, AMC had already dropped the CJ7 to make way for the Jeep Wrangler. This CJ7 is a TRUELaredo and not a "clone". The Laredo package was offered in the CJ-7 line from 1982-1986. The typical package included a chrome grille, bumpers, wheels, hood emblem, and trim. You're looking at a rare, survivor, and the last of its kind CJ7 in the highly sought after Olympic White exterior with Honeycomb leather interior Laredo package with the upgraded engine/transmission.This Laredo comes with nearly all of the factory options. ...and it has literally a little less than 80,000 true miles!
It comes out of private collection from the state of Utah where it spent the majority of it's life. It's been in SoCal for a few months now, therefore you don't have to worry about rust and cancer. It's had 5 owners that have pampered it. The last owner had it stored in a climate controlled facility and took amazing care of the maintenance and upkeep of this Jeep. When you take it for a spin and come back you won't find puddles of fluid/oil where you park it. It's solid as a rock and the super low 79,996 miles are CarFax and AutoCheck Certified!Purchase with confidence.
This CJ7 comes equipped the with highly sought after and optional 115-horsepower AMC 258 (4.2L) inline six-cylinder engine matched with a Tremec T176 four-speed transmission featuring a3.08:1 final gear ratio. The front axle is a Dana 30 and the rear axle is a Dana 44. It's also a 5-speed manual with 4WD. It comes with all the goodies. The engine is original with matching numbers, down to the radiator. That too is original with matching numbers! Exhaust has been changed and the cat has been deleted like 99% of all CJ's. But that's the only "modification" I am aware of. This Jeep has never been lifted or used for heavy duty off-road play. It's evident with the condition of the interior, exterior, and impeccable history. Literally you won't have an opportunity to get your hands on a last model year AMC Jeep CJ-7 so untampered for this great of a price!

It comes with all the standard features on the 1986 CJ7: full-instrumentation dashboard with speedometer, warning lamps, tachometer and lever-controlled heat/air circulation vents. The Jeep also features a fuel tank protection/skid plate, padded roll bar, swing-out tailgate, bucket seats, and rear-folding bench. The Laredo trim level features body graphics, with the Laredo featuring a tilt steering wheel, chrome grille, mirrors and bumpers. Everything works on this Jeep, all of the gauges, clock, etc, are in working order. The only aftermarket add-on with the Jeeps interior is an upgraded Alpine head unit. The seats are near perfect and the carpet is also in terrific shape. It's like sitting in a time capsule... Very unreal. It has the new Jeep "smell". There's no strange odors or stains to this beauty.

The Jeeps exterior does have typical wear and tear for a 30+ year old CJ7 with a little under 80,000 miles. There is no rust/cancer; that's what matters most. There is light oxidation where small blemishes/bubbles are in the paint. I've included photos showing examples. It's nothing major; at the end of the day: it's a Jeep! It adds personality. The Laredo sticker/decals have some wear and tear. These can easily be replaced or left as-is (looks fine to unless you're doing a full restoration). It's completely stock to my knowledge aside for the exhaust and interior Alpine head unit update. The body doesn't have and major dents or damage.
With this Jeep you'll receive the hardtop (in perfect condition), full hard doors (matching and in great condition), 1 set of keys, and the original manual. The tires are BFG All-Terrains and are near new with less than 500 miles on the full set. New battery, fires right up. This is a true gem and a very rare find.
