Car description

This 1971 Jeep CJ5 has a cool style, great stance, and proper 4x4 equipment. Plus, the Dauntless V6 under the hood is one of the most versatile motors of our time.
This CJ really likes to enjoy the military history of the Jeep. The star on each side looks like the general's ride, and the graphics on the hood are pure WWII fighter plane flair. Even the green paint looks like it spent some years in the service. So while some people may see room for improvement (and the value price certainly allows that in your budget) this one already starts off with a pretty cool attitude. There are also some useful upgrades, like the jerry can on the rear and the diamond plating fortifying the rockers and rear corners. This even comes with a full soft top and doors.
The military-style presentation continues inside with cool details like the thin/classic steering wheel and the 4x4 instructions still affixed to the dash. You have all the right basics with a proper roll bar and a pair of well-done durable but comfortable bucket seats. Plus, the classic Jeep single gauge pack is supplemented by Sunpro oil pressure, power, and temp readouts that real drivers will find absolutely handy.
Few people remember that the Buick V6 was available in the CJ5 for a few years. This Dauntless 225 cubic-inch motor is extremely desirable not only for parts availability, but also robustness. This motor was so good GM bought it back and used it for decades, including for the turbo Grand National. You're not going to go drag racing in this stock-style setup, but it is a healthy motor with a newer coil, and so it fires up eagerly. And the three-speed manual transmission puts you in firm control of all the action. Also, true to a Jeep, the two-speed 4x4 transfer case combines with the short wheelbase and good ground clearance to really let you get back to nature.
It's amazing you can get a cool all-American Jeep with this much character all of this for such a value price. But a deal this nice doesn't wait for long, call today!
