Car description

1984 CJ7 Renegade.

This Jeep spent it's entire lift in dry climates of Oklahoma, Texas and now AZ.  This Jeep is rot free and in overall very nice shape.

Jeep runs straight with no wandering.  A pleasure to drive.  I recommend rebuild of the carburetor in the near future as it does make some noise.  The Jeep has plenty of power and does drive well, but a new carb will make this an amazing driving machine.

Jeep comes equipped with a highly desirable T-176 4-speed transmission.  The Jeep does shift good and the transmission does not have any issues, but there is a little slop in the shifter.  Normal wear and tear stuff.  From what I'm told, very easy repair by removing the transmission tunnel cover and replacing a bushing.

The paint on the Jeep is decent. I'd say with a paint job this will be an amazing looking Jeep.  Jeep is color coded for Sebring Red paint.  With new Renegade decals, you'll have yourself an incredible Jeep for not a huge investment.  Jeep does have some scrapes, dings, etc.  Again, nothing significant and it's very presentable as-is.

Jeep is rust free except for the inside of the passenger side fender under the battery tray.  This is a common problematic area as battery acid drips from the tray and onto the fender lip.  From the outside the rust is not visible and the fender looks great, but from the inside you can see where part of the metal breaks off with your hand.  Depending on what you're looking to do with the Jeep, this may not bug you at all and in fact, it probably does not bother 95% of people as it is not noticeable unless you're looking at the inside bottom lip of the fender from the engine bay area.  it sounds far worse than it really is... truly not an issue but I like to be transparent.

The frame, floors, windshield frame, doors, top, etc. are all in pretty nice shape.  No rust and nothing other than small infrequent scratches and scrapes.  Again, just a paint job away from being a very nice Jeep.

Gas gauge and temp gauge work intermittently.  Just a Jeep thing.

Priced very well for quick sale.  I'm motivated to sell, but please do not present any insulting offers as they'll just be ignored.

Nobody likes a surprise when purchasing a vehicle, which is why I'm very thorough with my disclaimer/description of the Jeep. This Jeep has phenomenal bones, which is what is most important. People won't balk on spending 8k on a rusted project where at the end of the day they'll have 20k+ into it, countless man hours and junk chinese metal only to have a Jeep half as good as this one. I don't get it.

$500 deposit due immediately.  Balance due within 3 business days via certified check / cashiers check or wire transfer.  Once payment has cleared, I'll send you the title via certified mail with signature required.  Jeep is expected to be picked up from my residence within 3 weeks of sale.  If you need special accommodations, I'm very flexible.  Just give me a ring and we can work something out.  520-789-0875
