Car description

For sale is a 1984 Jeep CJ7 Renegade with original straight 6 cylinder 4.2L AMC 258 engine, T5 5 speed manual transmission, drivetrain is stock, Dana 300 transfer case, AMC 20 rear axle, Dana 30 front axle. Rare Cinnamon Metallic one year only 3K paint code that was repainted 5 years ago with factory correct Renegade stickers. Interior is all factory and excellent condition except for aftermarket CD player and locking center console. Only thing missing is passenger door handle so it is using an old belt. Nutmeg high back bucket seats, Air Conditioner that blows cold, heater, intermittent windshield wipers, tilt steering wheel, cigarette lighter and they all work great including all interior lights!
Very nicely preserved antique AR Jeep with absolutely NO RUST. No issues at all and straight 6 runs great, shifts smoothly and drives straight down the road. Brakes stop great, stock suspension rides comfortably and has new steering box. Hardtop and hard doors are excellent condition complete with door pads and all hardware. All weatherstripping is intact, glass is all perfect, bumpers are like new, all chrome is nice and shiny with no pitting, new badging, plastic fender flares and signal lights. New 31x10.50R15 tires and wheels are new so they are not factory but look very similar.
Engine runs very nicely given the low mileage. Has a Weber aluminum valve head cover, Weber carburetor fuel pressure regulator, new alternator, and has factory jack! Even has original American Motors keys that work with door locks.
The vehicle history report shows that the title was deemed salvage in 1988 so eBay policy requires me to state it this way. However, you can see that it has been clean and clear in the state of Arkansas since 1996. I have called the Department of Motor Vehicles in AR and they have confirmed that the title is, in fact, clean and clear despite what AutoCheck shows and they have no history that says the title ever was salvage. They think there was a mistake and the title was changed back to clear. I have a clear AR title in hand. The Jeep frame is perfect but there is a 2” weld under the front bumper cover on the crossmember so it must have had a front end collision at one time. All gaps in the body line up perfectly and there are no signs of damage to the frame. Perhaps at the time the repair was more than 60% of the value of the vehicle. But the Jeep drives perfect and there are no other areas that show any signs of an accident.
