Car description

Bidding on 1979 Jeep CJ5. This is a 3-speed 304 V8 gasoline engine. This was my brother’s daily driver vehicle up until the summer of 2014. He purchased a new vehicle and is wanting to sell his Jeep as he just doesn’t drive it very often anymore. It has not been driven much in the last 8 months. maybe only a dozen times or so. but started right up. It has no carburetor but has a Throttle Body with electronic fuel injection. He thinks it has an exhaust manifold leak so it was noisy starting up and driving. Odometer reads 7000 miles. but clearly he said it had turned over or been reset. Tires: Steel Radial Mud King XT 32x11. 50 R LTMtS are a lot of tread on them. KC Off road lights (work great). 3000 lb. wench (works great). Locking Hood (pad lock). spare tire. Alpine Stereo with Pandora Internet radio MP3-USD port with auxiliary port. Tow hitch on back. mechanical temp gauge. full roll cage. locking gas cap. Rugged Ridge Step bars. Gas Gauge (needs to be fixed). dipstick needs tapped in. headlight covers. 2 different bikini tops. standard top but it does need to be replaced (broken back panel in top – and top does have a couple of leaks). Center Console with speakers. 6x9 speakers under the rear seat. lockouts on all 4 wheels. Grant GT steering wheel. brush guard. heater works. Jeep service manual. windshield (breakseal new). tears in the back seat. Has an exhaust manifold leak so it was noisy upon startup. Tears in the back seat. Needs pedals for brake and clutch. Clear title. Body and condition: Has a few places where it has some rust or nicks in the paint. but it looks pretty sharp. I think he said the vehicle was originally red prior to being repainted. Vehicle is being sold as is – no warranty. and I really don’t know very much about cars. so. please. if you have any questions or concerns. please LMK and I can either get them answered or have my brother call you (or I can send you his phone #) to get any answers to questions you may have. Deposit of $250 required within 48 hours of auction end. Balance to be paid within 10 days. can accept cash. money order. or cashier’s check payment on balance.
