Car description

Less than 80,000 miles and in beautiful condition. If you are looking for a Grand Wagoneer to drive on a daily basis or to add to a valuable automobile collection, this one is for you. This Jeep is ready to roll and has nearly $6,000 in new parts and service done in the last 6 month.
This is my 3rd 1991 Wagoneer that I rescued to sell. This is the best, by far as it not only looks and runs well, it has lots of little things that most Waggies are missing and are difficult to fix or find. It needs about about $2,000 in parts and service (discussed below) and this should be a 100% complete truck that should sell for around $40,000.
THE HISTORY:I purchased the Jeep from the original owner in Oregon about a year ago. It came to me in in good cosmetic shape. However, it needed some engine and electrical work.
PAINT: The paint is beautiful. The owner had it repainted before I bought it. It looks brand new. There are no chips or noticeable scratches. . My only complaint is that they could have removed a couple very small dings before painting it. They are so small that you have to really look to see them and I cannot accurately capture them in photos. I give the paint an 8 or 8.5
BODY/EXTERIOR: The tires came to me new. I have driven less than 500 miles. The wood grain looks like it was replaced with the paint. It has ALL the original little woodgrain grommets (never seen that before). The rubber parts on bumpers, windows etc are all present and look great. I replaced the exterior rubber window seals. The chrome is excellent. Known issues: The front grill is missing a piece and shows some fading, chips from normal use, and discoloring from the exploded radiator (see photo). The driver side door opens fine, but it sometimes a little umph. The fog light casings and wipers are weathered. I give the body a 7.Replacing the grill would make it an 8 or 9. Part cost is about $250.
INTERIOR: The interior is in amazing shape. The condition supports the strikingly low miles. The driver seat, original floorboard carpet and mat show next to no wear. (Be concerned if you see low mileage Wagoneers with considerable wear on the driver seat area) The dash has no cracks. The door panels have no rips. The original shag carpet looks new with no rips or signs of wear. The leather is smooth and rich looking with very minimal cracking. The headliner is original and is in good shape, though it is separating a little at the passenger side (see photo) This should be an easy fix. The window locks even have the chrome rings— never seen that before (see photo). I give the interior an 8. Fixing headliner would make it a 9.
MECHANICAL: It was apparent when I received this that the truck that it had been sitting for a long time. The radiator exploded after driving it for about 10 minutes. So, the entire cooling system has been flushed, replaced and upgraded with high performance parts (radiator, H20 pump, thermostat, housing, hoses and plugs). The carburetor was rebuilt. It also received a complete tune-up, oil change and replaced any worn hoses or belts. New filters were installed.
This is now the best running and sounding Wagoneer. It is tight and smooth— feels new. Labor and parts totaled more than $6,000. Known issue: There is a small oil leak. I get a drop or two if it sits for a few days. Does not seem to leak if I drive it every day or tow. The brakes work, but the rear brakes are leaking some fluid and probably will need a brake job in the future. I am not a mechanic, so I have not business grading it, but it runs like a 9.
ELECTRICAL:I replaced all window and locking mechanisms. The only known issue is the stereo; it receives power to the unit, but is dead. I am leaving this for the new owner to choose and install whatever they want.
Here is what I just checked works.
- Power windows- Power mirrors- Power seats (driver and passenger)- Floorboard courtesy light- Engine compartment light- Turn signals (just replaced flashers)- Revere lights- High beams- Headlights- Overhead instrumentation panel (compass, clock and lights)- Interior dome light- Power mirrors- Horn- Instrumentation / dashboard lighting (including dimmer)- Wipers (front and rear)- Defroster- AC/Heat
The electrical is a 9.Will be a 10 when the stereo is replaced.

MISC:No odd smells. No signs of water leaks. The service was done by Paradise Automotive in San Juan Capistrano.
TYPICAL DISCLOSURES: This is a 27 year old vehicle that is a continuation of a vehicle that was originally build in 1962. While it is steeped in features that were considered reliable and luxurious in its time, it is not a new modern car. Old cars are temperamental, louder and require more attention than modern cars. Carburetors require a little finesse when starting after they sit for a while. I want the owner of this car to be happy about the purchase. I have done my best to disclose all known issues. I know a lot about Wagoneers, but I am not a mechanic, electrician, or engineer. It was passed California smog in January and has current California registration.
