Car description

This cj is in great shape considering it’s 34 years old. I originally bought it back in the summer of 2017. I had planned on doing a frame off restoration. I just don’t have the time needed to take on the task. The motor runs strong and starts every time I go to start it. The previous owner had fuel injection installed on the motor which definetly makes starting and maintaining much easier, that was an $1,100 option to have installed. The valve cover gasket does have a small oil leak. It is a 5 speed manual transmission and I’ve had no problems with it. The throw out bearing is a little noisy on occasions when the clutch is depressed. It’s a relatively easy fix for a mechanic, I believe it’s a $50 part (give or take). The fuel gauge is not accurate(stays on full). The odometer reads just over 85,000. I’m not sure if that’s correct or if it’s 185,000.The body is in good shape given that it’s 34 years old. The previous owner had the rocker panels repaired for a rust hole. Looks like new metal was welded in and they painted over it with out fully covering the welds with body puddy(see pics). The passenger outside door handle is a little loose, I suspect it’s missing a paddle holder or perhaps it just needs a new handle. The frame is in excellent condition which is why I originally bought it. Finding a cj without a rotted frame is no easy task. I took pics of the common rust places to show that the frame on this cj is in good shape(pics are of the frame near the rear wheel). It appears the brake lines have been replaced in the last several years. It has a 2 inch suspension lift. See tire pic for tire size. The hardtop is in good shape, I’m fairly certain it’s the original. I’m sure I didn’t answer everyone’s questions and I may have forgotten some things. I’d be glad to answer any questions from serious potential buyers. Just send me a message with a phone number and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. Keep in mind that this is a 1983, she’s not perfect but these cj’s are becoming hard to find in this condition and for the starting bid price. $5,000 and no reserve beyond that. Be a serious bidder, I will report non payers. Scammers beware, I can spot your nonsense so move on. I will assist with shipping in any way I can. Buyer is responsible for all fees associated with shipping. Vehicle will not leave my possession until money is available: ie checks have cleared bank etc.
