Car description

Stunning frame-off restored Concours level Silver Grey 1966 Series 1 E-Type OTS, ncluding a rare Factory Hardtop, nd with only 63,650 miles. This particular car exemplifies the beauty and performance of the legendary E-Type as it was originally intended. This is a frame-off restored car with matching numbers (certified by Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust/ Trace Certificate #1898)It was appraised for insurance by AAG a year ago (July 2014) at $150,000 and stated value insured for that amount. Contact me for a copy of that appraisal and additional photos. HISTORY/PROVENANCE:Build date was December 22, 965 and dispatched to Jaguar Cars, new York on January 17, 966. The car was then shipped to John Tune Motors, ashville, N. sometime in March of 1966. The car had remained in Nashville, ntil I'd acquired it in October of 2011. The original owner was Murrey Mizell "Buddy" Harman Jr., aving taken delivery on April 22, 966 in Nashville. Mr. Harman was a legendary Nashville session drummer and celebrated for being the most recorded drummer in music history, aving played on over 18,000 recording sessions/records during his 40 year career. Mr. Harman, long with a select few other artists, s credited by the Hall of Fame for creating the "Nashville Sound", hich helped establish Nashville as a world renown music mecca.Mr. Harman is also recognized by the music community as contributing to the sounds and revolutionary Rock-n-Roll era as well. His collaboration and session work is a who's who list of artists from Elvis to Reba to Simon and Garfunkel. The list of artists and chart busting songs with his work is very long and impressive.Mr. Harmon sold the car sometime in 1967 and it was held briefly by two different owners until purchased by the owner before me on November 11, 971. The car had remained in Nashville since that date and had been in the sole possession of that previous owner for the past 40 years. All documents pertaining to the history of the car are available and will transfer with the car.RESTORATION:A full frame-off restoration was completed in 2001 at approximately 47,000 miles.
