1989 Jaguar XJ-S with 5.3l V12 engine for sale. 107k miles. Automatic Transmission.
Runs and drives well. Ac works. Brakes are great. Tires are great. The handling is extremely smooth and comfortable. The interior is in good condition. It has a modern Alpine radio.
Here is a list of maintenance work completed in the past year totaling thousands of dollars:
Distributor rebuilt
Valley and valve covers removed, inspection, clean, reinstall
All coolant hoses replaced; coolant pipes removed, cleaned, reinstalled
AAV rebuilt
Remove air injection system (original parts included)
High output GM alternator conversion (original included)
New Water Pump, thermostats
AC converted to modern R-134a with new modern compressor and custom hoses
Intakes cleaned
Fuel injectors cleaned
All new fuel hoses
High-flow electric fans with 2 speed controller
All original parts that were removed are included.
The brakes were overhauled a few years ago and new tires were installed at the same time.
A few other things worth mentioning:
It has been repainted at some point (original color). It is in great shape although could use a polish. There is rust bubble patch on rocker panel in front if drivers rear tire that should be addressed. It isn’t noticeable since it’s so low to ground. One other small bubble on quarter, but doesn't look like a rust bubble. There are a couple cracks in dashboard. The passengers window is slow, and the passenger side mirror adjustment knob is missing. The horn is connected to button not on steering wheel. Washer system never used/tested. Does leave a little transmission fluid on floor while sitting in garage. Oil pressure instrumentation is a bit finicky lately. Oil pressure verified with manual gauge and oil light works fine.
